ALL FAX ENTRIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH CARD NUMBER & EXPIRATION DATE, AND CREDIT CARD HOLDERS' SIGNATURE. 2 Best Owner-Handled in Show Competition - Sunday, May 1, 2016 - National Owner-Handled Series The AKC Owner/ Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers . This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form . Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog In this competition. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners B itch and winners of the non-regular classes. If the Best of BreedNariety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of BreedNariety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group. If the Best of BreedNariety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of BreedNariety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of BreedN ariety. • If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of BreedNariety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners . • If Best of Breed, Besl of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of BreedNariety. The breed will not be represented in the Owne r-H andled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners Competition. "Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers ' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for payor received payment for handling a dog. Any abuse of our gate workers may result in a bench show hearing. The following are rules estabished by the State Park. Any exhibitor, whether they are camping or visiting for the day, must abide by the following rules and regulations. Lums Pond State park requires that all vehicles remaining in the park overnight be in a designated camping area. Anyone wishing to leave a vehicle on the grounds overnight must register with Harry Miller via the form on page 32. Registration fees are $38.00 per night. Vehicles will not be permitted to enter the park prior to 12 noon on Thursday, April 28. 2016. Camping space are for vehicles with paid reservations only. They are not for use as grooming or set up areas. Anyone using a numbered camping space as such will be charged the Park Camping Fee. There will be NO Exhibitor Parking fee. Spectator Parking Fee - $4.00 - per vehicle for DE License plates and $8.00 per vehicle for out of state. Alcohol is prohibited at all times in the State Park. Lums Pond State Park has a zerotolerance rule for alcohol and violators will be prosecuted. This will be strictly enforced by Park Officials. Th e Park requires that all dogs remain on lead and under control at all times (except when in ex-pens and in the Obedience Rings). Dogs are not to be tied or chained to any tree or post in the park. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of anima l waste properly. Limited water hookups will be available. There is a bathhouse with hot showers on the grounds, centra lly located. No dogs are perm itted in this building. No waste or gray water is to be discharged onto the grounds at any time. Th ere is a dumping station on the grounds for use by Exhibitors. Exhibitors will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their space . Any exhibitor leaving their space in a mann er not satisfactory to the State Park or the Wilmington Kennel Club. Inc. will not be permitted to camp on the grounds at future events. The park is typically a carry in/carry out facility however, there will be DUMPSTERS provided for the convenience of the exh ibitors. PLEASE USE THEM. All spaces will be pre-assigned upon receipt of the application and there will be no coning off of spaces. Camping spaces are limited so it is advised to register early. All spaces must be reserved through Harry Miller. Do not use the online parking reservation system. Overnight reservations are a privilege extended by the State Park. Any arguing , abusive language , or failure to follow the rules or the directions of officials on duty will cause PERMANENT forfeiture of all parking and camping privileges without refund of fees paid and the possibility of disciplin e by the Events Committee.
