Road Test Nissan 2010-370Z Heritage From Datsun to Nissan Motor Sports Nissan Nismo Feature Nissan Leaf EDITORIAL CARLOS GHOSN PRESIDENT & CEO NISSAN MOTOR CO. LTD. The race to zero emissions has begun. Nissan is bringing an electric vehicle lineup designed for the mass market. By offering environmental benefits at a price people can afford, our models will appeal to a wide variety of customers. Our vehicles' purchase prices and operating costs will be competitive to gasoline-engine vehicles of the same size. They will also provide the appeal one expects from Nissan in terms of performance, roominess, comfort, safety and quality. Our lineup currently includes three planned models and a fourth concept in development. First is LEAF, a fun-to-drive, everyday car that fully delivers on the promise of zero. Atsuo Kosaka MANAGING DIRECTOR NISSAN MIDDLE EAST FZE Konnichiwa and welcome to the new issue of Nissan’s Shift_ magazine. This is a very exciting edition for us as we announce special introductions and surprises to our Middle East enthusiasts. We recently announced the launch of two sporty new additions to our Nissan product range - the all-new 2010 Nissan Maxima sports sedan and 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe. The launch of the new models took place in Qatar with an exclusive media test drive event at the Losail Circuit. We have also confirmed the addition of the convertible 370Z Roadster model to our GCC line-up in early 2010. Good news for our Nissan customers was the availability for the first time a selection of NISMO racing accessory parts for the new 370Z Coupe, Altima sedan and Tiida compact car. Apart of our new product activity, we have staged the Nissan Technology Square, an interactive educational exhibition which was on display in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates from 4-10th October for the first time in the Middle East. It contained displays in four main areas of interest: Environment, Safety, Driving Performance and ‘Life on Board’. The exhibition updated around 7,000 visitors on the world of Nissan and its current and future technologies. Finally, we recently gave away three brand new 2010 Nissan Maxima sports sedans as prizes on top-rated GCC Arabic language soccer show ‘Sada Al Malaeb’ (MBC1). The competition saw three lucky winners secure the keys to the aggressive new Maxima sporty sedan. They will love this great new Nissan flagship 4-door sports car. These were some of the exciting events from our region. We wish you happy reading of this special edition. www.nissan-me.com 3 NEWS EMERGENCY SERVICES EMBRACE THE GT-R FIRST GT-R IN THE WORLD IN OFFICIAL POLICE SERVICE Issue 16 October - December'09 Even with the extra 200kg of fire fighting equipment on board, the GT-R can still lap the challenging circuit in less than eight minutes – the Editorial Team Design & Production Published for Advertising Monal Zeidan AdCom Advertising & Publishing Nissan Middle East FZE AdCom Advertising & Publishing Editorial Office by AdCom Advertising & P.O.
