Drake is a fifth year Senior who spent his first
three seasons at Nebraska-Kearney where
he was one of the top guards in Division
II ranks.

anymore. He’s helped everyone put
the team in front of their individual
success, and he’s a big part of this

Wayne Simien was born and raised in Leavenworth, Kansas.
As a youth he excelled in the game of
basketball and later became a McDonalds High School All-American, 2 time NCAA All-American at the Unviersity
of Kansas, was a first round NBA draft pick, and a 2006 NBA World Champion of the Miami Heat. His greatest
accomplishment however did not take place on the basketball court but during the end of his sophmore season
at KU when he chose to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life. It is now Wayne’s passion to see
other lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ as his life was. He and his wife are in the full time ministry
serving in Lawrence, Kansas as chaplin of the KU basketball and football team and director of the Called To
Greatness Sports ministry.
