Winterhawks Skate School Dates & Pricing Sno-Hawk 1-3: The Snow-Hawk levels are designed to help the preschool-age skater (5 or younger) develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice. Snowplow Sam curriculum mirrors the Basic 1-8 class structure. Basic 1-8 The “Basic Skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. These eight levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, three turns and Mohawks. Summer 2016 Series 5 Week Program Member Fee: Class Drop In: $55 $12 $15 All classes are on an 5 week class schedule. No Class Breaks for Summer Session Monday Classes: July 18, 25 & Aug 1, 8, 15 Wednesday Classes: July 20, 27 & Aug 3, 10, 17 Friday Classes: July 22, 29 & Aug 5, 12, 19 Saturday Classes: July 23, 30 & Aug 6, 13, 20 Adult Skating (Low & High) If you are an adult (16 years or older) and want to learn how to skate, this is the class for you. Our instructor tailor makes the curriculum in this class for each individual student. Adult Skating Low is required to enter our Adult Hockey Program. Adult Skating High is for skaters who can stroke, glide and stop with ease on the ice. Free Skate (Low & High) The Free Skate levels are designed to give skaters a strong foundation on which to build their figure skating skills. This is the point where the skater can chose whether to pursue a recreational or competitive approach to the sport of figure skating. Hockey (Low & High) The Hockey levels are designed to make hockey players out of all comers. By developing and mastering the fundamental skills required to play the game, each student will be able to enjoy the game for years to come. Prerequisite: All Hockey Low students must pass Basic 3 (in hockey gear) to register for Hockey 1. Adult Hockey The Adult Hockey program is structured the same as the Hockey programming, but for Adult skaters only (18+ years of age) Prerequisite: All Adult Hockey students must pass Basic 3 or Adult Skating Low (in hockey gear) to register for Adult Hockey.
