The Yasawa Group of islands are more grand in stature than the nearby Mamanucas but are less
commercialized. Previously, this group of islands was primarily frequented by backpackers due mostly to the
abundance of small family run properties who targeted visitors with less money in their budget and who were
happy to put up with fewer amenities and facilities in the properties in order to enjoy the gorgeous beaches
and abundant sunshine. There were a couple of stand-out higher end resorts such as Yasawa Island Resort and
Turtle Island Resort but little choice in the mid-price range. However, over the last few years, smaller boutique
resorts have been opening and now there are choices for every pocket book.

Yasawa Island Resort and Spa is an exclusive luxury
resort on one of the most remote and unspoiled
islands of Fiji. Just 18 luxury bungalows are hidden
among the palms, each just a few steps from a
pristine white beach. Swim in crystal clear waters,
dive on vividly colored corals, connect with an
ancient culture or indulge in Fiji’s first beachfront
spa. The easiest and most reliable way to travel to
the resort is via the daily air charter service. This
scenic flight is approximately 25 minutes along the
west coast of Vitu Levu; over the incredible reefs
and up along the Yasawa group of islands.
What makes Yasawa special and unique is its access to 10 private beaches for romantic beach picnics; activities
like the Blue Lagoon Caves visit and most importantly the authentic culture… the majority of the staff come

PARADISE COVE RESORT 4*
Location:
Naukacuva Island is the perfect location for this
wonderful new resort. The island is mid-way up the
Yasawa Island chain and although tiny in size, it's big in
beauty. The island is covered in swaying palm trees and
champagne sand, framed by a vivid blue lagoon. Across
the channel is the beautiful Nanuya Balavu Island, which
provides the most scenic outlook you can imagine. The
resort beach is over 215 yards of pristine white sand
beach and has beautiful well maintained gardens making
it a true tropical retreat.
How to Get There
Scheduled launch transfers depart Denarau Marina daily at 8:30am and arrive at Paradise Cover Resort about
11:30am.

Although this resort does have dormitory and lodge accommodation as well as villa options, Blue Lagoon
Resort does cater for those on fixed budgets but is not your traditional “backpacker” property. It is a nice mix
of guests who simply want peace and quiet in a stunning location without the high prices in some other
resorts.
How to Get There:
The resort is located 47 nautical miles from the main island of Viti Levu and is easily accessed by either a
launch transfer which takes about 3 ½ hours or by a seaplane flight on Pacific Island Seaplanes. The seaplane
transfer is more expensive but it also provides excellent views of the reefs and islands on the way to Blue
Lagoon Resort
