_Xylechinosomus_ is distinguished by anterolateral areas of pronotum asperate; male frons moderately to
strongly impressed; scutellum large and visible.
Body length c. 2.5-3.0mm
Distinguished by both sexes having pronotum and elytra densely clothed by variegated scales and by strong
medium frontal carina in both sexes.
