EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
If you are seeking new horizons to explore this year, this unique cruising adventure is for you. It’s a 5-star, all-inclusive cruise
expedition this July from Nome in northern Alaska to the Russian Far East and back to Seward in southern Alaska. Along the
way, you’ll encounter rarely visited islands and remote villages in the Bering Sea, including Kodiak Island with its famous bears
and also the pristine Aleutian Islands. The 15-night package with Silversea Expeditions offers every guest an ocean-view suite,
complimentary beverages and tours ashore. Flights and accommodation in Vancouver and Anchorage are also included from
just $19,190 pp. Contact our team today for more information as less than 10 suites remain!
SOLO SAVINGS WITH SILVERSEA
S
olo supplements as low as 10% are now available on a
range of all-inclusive, ultra-luxe cruises with Silversea
Expeditions. The low single passenger fares are available
on a selection of sailings to remote destinations aboard
Silversea’s intimate ships from
February to April this year.
Destinations include the South
Pacific, Kimberley coast and
islands of the Atlantic. Along
the way, you’ll live it up with
complimentary
beverages,
guided tours, wi-fi, open-seat
dining and your own stateroom
butler service. There’s also a
welcome-aboard champagne reception to allow you to meet
your fellow travellers. The reduced solo supplements are only
available until sold out so check our website for details.
EVENTFUL CRUISES
A
new trend in local cruising is the emergence of more
sailings that bring you to major events like the Melbourne
Cup, State of Origin, Australian Open Tennis and Australia
Day festivities. P&O Cruises
now offer a range of cruises
that get you to these exciting
events this year and next in
relaxed style. If you thought
your recent New Year’s Eve
lacked some buzz, choose
from a range of festive
season cruises that include a
New Year’s party at sea. These
special cruises sell quickly
and earlybirds get to choose the best cabins, so call us to find
out more or see our website.
CRUISE TIPS
Depending on the cruise and time of the year, a ship’s
swimming pool and jacuzzis can sometimes be crowded. If
you’re keen for a more relaxing dip or soak, choose a ship
with an adults-only pool or try these times - early morning for
a great start to the day, during bingo when many passengers
try to win back the cost of their cruise, early evening when
people are dressing for dinner and, if the pool and tubs are
open late, just before bed for a restful sleep. Most pools
and spa tubs are heated but on cooler days, when most
passengers retreat indoors, you may find one all to yourself.

WAKE VIEW - YOUR SAY
There’s been a big rise in the number of grandparents joining their
adult children and their kids on multi-generation cruise holidays. We
talk to a Sydney mother who has joined up to 16 members of her
extended family on four cruises together in four years…
“For us, a cruise is a special way to escape on an adventure
all together away from the
stresses of everyday life. We all
lead such busy lives so it’s nice
to come together on a holiday
where we can all do our own
thing and then meet up for
meals or in ports. The food,
service and entertainment are
always amazing as is the free
kids club which our children beg to go back to! Not having
to clean or cook is also a big plus. Long flights and airports
are a hassle for families but I find everything about a cruise
is easy, carefree and also great value for money. The pure
joy of watching three generations have the time of their lives
together is priceless.”
Karis, Frenchs Forest, NSW
Did you know? Our expert team can help you choose the
right ship for you and your family. You may also be entitled to
additional bonuses for booking your cabins all together, so

year. You and your family

Singapore to Australia in
November. Exclusive family

Jokes That Float! DREAM CRUISE
A woman told her husband she had dreamt the previous
night that she had been given a free, luxury Mediterranean
cruise. “What do you think my dream
meant,” the wife asked. “I think you
might find out tonight,” the husband
responded with a smile. That night,
the man came home, kissed his wife
and gave her a present. She excitedly
unwrapped the gift to find a book
entitled: ‘Dreams and their Meanings’!
