I’d like to wish all of you a Happy New
Year! Hopefully, we all had a wonderful time over the Christmas break celebrating the joys of the Christmas
season with family and loved ones.
As we roll up our sleeves and get
back to the business of making and
selling great vehicles in 2007, I just
wanted to share with you some of the
exciting events your Management
Club has planned for you.
This year’s North American
International Auto Show will be run-
2 - January 2007
ning from January 13th through 21st.
For those of you that didn’t know, the
money we raise from selling tickets to
the show is our club’s biggest revenue
generator. We have the tickets available now for you from our Multi-Macs.
Buying your tickets through the club
allows us to raise the money we need
to bring you first class events throughout the rest of the year.
While we’re talking about the Auto
Show, each of us should make it a
personal goal in 2007 to use all of our
Friends and Family, and Employee
Control numbers. We’re all on the
same team; let’s support our company by promoting our products!
On January 26th the club is putting
on a Multi-Mac breakfast meeting.
Our Multi-Macs are the first line of
contact with our membership and
potential new members. We are
grateful for their service. The purpose
of the breakfast meeting on the 26th
is to review the responsibilities of a
Multi-Mac, get to know one another,
distribute information on upcoming
activities, review the Management
Club website and database, and
answer any questions. We have
approximately 150 dedicated members who serve in this position.
Please plan on attending if you are a
current Multi-Mac or would be interested in serving the club in this
capacity. A continental style breakfast
will be served, courtesy of the club.
Bring any new ideas you have on how
we can better serve our members.
Saturday February 10th is the date
for our Valentine’s Party. This year’s
band is Steve King and the Dittlies.
We only have 200 tickets available,
this may be a sellout. Our surveys
show we love the Community House;
this should be another great party.
The 2007 Sport’s Night will be held
this year on March 20th, and we’re
happy to announce we have Kyle
Petty as our guest speaker. A great
treat for racing enthusiasts.
I hope one of your resolutions this
year is to attend Management Club
events. We have an opening for a
speaker in April; please feel free to
contact me with any ideas or suggestions at [email protected]

Committee Notes
Retiree’s Reporter
Mark your calendars and save
Saturday, February 10, 2007 as the
date for the Fourth Annual Valentine’s
Party. The Program Committee has
arranged for what has become an
annual event, this year, to be held at
the Birmingham Community Center.
Steven King and the Dittilies will provide your dance music for the
evening. Their high energy music
never fails to bring back memories
and make your feet want to move.
Have you ever realized how many
times in your life you’ve made choices? You actually decide what to do,
what to wear, or even what to eat
many times per day, per week or per
month. Most of the time you opt to
do something without thinking or really realizing or caring whether it is
good or bad for you.
The ticket cost is $30.00 per person.
Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with
dinner following at 7:00 p.m. If you
would like to attend, please send
your check to my address below. All
purchased tickets will be available at
the door.

In November, you voted for many
people or proposals. It doesn’t matter which party you favored, the
choice was yours to elect and thereby voice your opinion. You even had
the choice to vote or not to vote if
you were so inclined.
By the end of 2006 you had to make
choices on medical coverage, prescriptions with Medicare D and other
vision, dental or hearing options. You
may even have had the option of
using the insurance provided to your
spouse or staying with the company
you’ve been insured with if it was
available to you on a fee for service
basis. For some people there were
so many choices that it could be
overwhelming.
When you look back, you’ve had the
opportunity of choice virtually all your
life, even as a child, you didn’t like all
the rules your parents made which
limited your choices. You may have
selected your college or university,
your workplace, the mate you married
or divorced and the car and house
you own or lease.
Retiree’s
Corner
Most of the time the options exercised or chosen are not good for a
lifetime. You may change jobs several
times, live in a few different houses
or apartments and even move to
other states or foreign countries. As
your needs or outlooks change, you
are sometimes forced to make an
undesirable choice. It is still your
choice and as the old expression says
“just live with it.”
