Gigi Stafne is an enthusiastic educator, activist and writer in the botanical and natural medicine
world, presently the coordinator of Herbalists without Borders, a national and international non-profit
organization addressing issues of natural medicine health care access globally. Earth ethics, ecology,
sustainability and environmental health are woven into all the courses that she presents. She teaches
through Green Wisdom and operates Wild Earth Eco Tours offering programs on herbalism to cross
cultural ethno botany tours. Gigi invites you to join her in a program with open heart, head and hands.

Trek to exciting field sites for hands-on learning in
exploratory herbal, environmental and sustainability
settings. Hike, paddle, plant… Learn in nature, study
woodland and wetland plants from the vantage point
of kayaks and canoes in the Glacial Rivers & Lakes
region and on foot along the National Ice Age Trail.
This is simply a sampling of the botanical medicine
explorations. This North Country program is more
than an herbalism class; it’s an exciting adventure!
Explore native, medicinal and cultural plants, attune
to your authentic wild self and our precious natural
environment. This class is essential for continuing
herbalism apprentices.
Community Herbalist CAM Course Interested in an entry level career in health,
wellness and botanical medicine?
This uniquely designed professional course will
prepare you in foundational herbalism studies
integrating practical professional applications.
Those who enroll in this Community Herbalist
program typically seek more training and
expertise in: foundations of herbalism, herbal
product making, herb growing and herbal
horticulture, design of community herbal
apothecaries for food cooperatives, health food
stores and healing centers, and entry level herb
clinic practices. This 5-day intensive course is
streamlined yet comprehensive, designed for
those who do not plan to pursue a Master of
Herbalism clinical degree or practice, requiring
1700-1900 hours of study within the Clinical
Master Herbalism Program.
Note: if you do take this course, all credit
hours will apply to some Master Herbalism
Programs.
