Message from John Venditto Town Supervisor Isotope Stompers Dixieland Jazz Band Dear Neighbor, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1 PM The Town of Oyster Bay “2015-2016 Distinguished Artists Concert” series will, once again, offer a diverse season of musical and dance programs, which will kick off in October. Whether your taste runs from opera, jazz, dance, cabaret, pop or classical, there is something for everyone. New Orleans Mardi Gras Style Dixieland Jazz. Massapequa Public Library The concert season begins on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Syosset Public Library with Hard Travelin’ With Woody- The Music and Artworks of Woody Guthrie. The concert series continues through Sunday, May 22, 2016 culminating with a performance from Vinnie St. Marten and the Seeing Eye Dog Band- A Ray Charles Inspired Program. This season’s lineup also includes Dean Karahalis and the New York Brass Choir, Washington Square Winds- a Woodwind Quintet, Just Sixties…..The Stories! The Songs!, SEGUE- Violin, Guitar and Flamenco Dance, Wand’ring Minstrels with New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Plaza Productions’ Camelot, Scarborough Fair-the Guthrie Brothers’ tribute to Simon and Garfunkel and Italian Opera classics from Salvatore Chiarelli, just to name a few. My fellow Town Board members and I are proud to provide residents with the very finest cultural and performing arts entertainment, all free of charge and held at conveniently located local libraries.
