Thank you to Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital for their generous support of the
parade! We would also like to thank the volunteer parade marshals, city staff for their invaluable
assistance, all those who have entries in the parade and of course the spectators who watch and
cheer the parade along. The Pumpkinfest Parade is another great example of how our community
comes together to put on great events for people of all ages to enjoy!

“Dessert on Us” is a fun and new spin on the former “Dinner On Us”.
The first 1,500 people who attend are provided a FREE dessert
of their choice from a variety of options. This event reinforces
our pride in this community and is a thank you to residents and
guests of Pumpkinfest for doing business here.
This FREE dessert is being provided to the community through generous
donations by Zeeland businesses. The dessert is then served by community
leaders and business owners/employees. It’s their way of giving back
to the community that supports their businesses year-round.

Always a hit with the kids, this is truly an interactive event the whole family can enjoy!
Visit the Critter Barn Petting Zoo featuring a variety of animals including sheep, donkeys,
goats, rabbits, chicks, roosters, ducks, and much more! Learn all about these animals
and life on the farm.
MARY’S COUNTRY CRIT TERS
PONY RIDES AND PET TING ZOO
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 10:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. AT KIDZFEST ON CHURCH STREET
Joining us for the first time this year, Mary’s Country Critters will be bringing a mobile
barn petting zoo complete with a donkey, mini horse, goat, sheep. pot bellied pig, rabbit, and a chicken. Get in line to walk through the zoo and meet your new furry friends!
Mary’s Country Critters will also be bringing 5 ponies for kids to enjoy a pony ride.
THE PET COSTUME CONTEST

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 12:30 P.M. AT THE MAIN STAGE (CORNER OF CHURCH & MAIN)
Enter this adorable pet costume contest or view the whole show, either way you won’t
want to miss it! Contest categories include funniest costume, best trick for a treat, and
best pair (costume pair of owner with pet or pet with pet). Not just dogs and cats, but
turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, or any other family pet who wants to dress up! Prizes will
be awarded in each contest category as well as an overall “Best in Show”. Registration
required! Forms can be obtained at Zeeland Veterinary Hospital, P.C., 320 N. State Street.
SMALLEGAN CLYDESDALE’S WAGON RIDES
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 4:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. NEAR THE CORNER OF MAIN & CHURCH
Take a ride around beautiful downtown Zeeland in a large wagon. Say hello to the two
beautiful clydesdales horses before they gently pull you around a tour of Zeeland on
a crisp, fall night as friends wave as you pass by. This event requires no registration,
however, there is a limit of 15-20 guests per ride. Rides will run approximately every 15
minutes.

In this high-energy and exciting event, kids of ages 4-10 will get to be in the driver’s seat
of a pedal tractor to see how far they can go! Each participant receives a prize in this event
as it is just about having a really great time! Be sure to arrive in time for registration at
3:15 p.m. This event begins at 4:00 p.m. with the youngest children group going first.
PUMPKIN SEED SPIT TING CONTEST

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 @ 11:00 A.M.
Come young, come old! This event is for all ages to see how far you can spit a pumpkin
seed. Can you beat last years record? Join Dr. Michelle Kitzrow DDS and her staff to find
out! And don’t forget, the top spitters will be receiving incredible prizes including Kindle
Fire tablets and Gift Cards to favorite local spots!
