n 2016, Aviator Sports and Events Center will be
celebrating our 10 year anniversary. During this time,
Aviator has been a top destination for families in
New York City. We’re proud that countless memories
are made here daily. From a young skater’s first steps
on the ice to an aspiring gymnast’s first tumble to the
welcoming chorus of “Happy Birthday,” Aviator will
forever have a special place in the hearts and minds of
so many families.
That is why we work to provide the best youth and
adult sports programs in New York City and consistently
offer some of the most popular races and events, like
The Color Run and Rugged Maniac. Aviator has more to
offer than you might think, and we invite you to explore
it for yourself.

Main Street is the historic aviation-themed entryway, welcome center, and
thoroughfare into Aviator Sports and Events Center. The environment features
the Customer Service Center, modeled after an air traffic control tower, our 35foot rock climbing wall, Max Flight simulator, Bungee Jump, Arcade and more.
CrossFit Floyd Bennett Field is southern Brooklyn’s premiere CrossFit box,
located within Aviator Sports and Events Center. The box offers State-of- theart equipment, as well as programming and coaching from talented multiple
time CrossFit Games participants. Our coaches are passionate about CrossFit
and box members and that sets CF FBF apart from other boxes in the area. At
CF FBF, you will find a community of people dedicated to wellness by being
both physically and mentally fit. There is plenty of FREE parking.
Aviator’s ice rinks rank among the top skating rinks in New York City,
and we also offer world class skate instructors. Open 7 days a week,
our regularly scheduled open skate hours offer you a chance to
experience year-round fun.

time for them and break time for you. Whether
your older child is in another program or you
are headed to an open sport or CrossFit class,
just drop them off for a supervised good time

It’s no-hassle hockey where and when you
want it! For a small drop-in fee, you get 80
minutes of the best ice in Brooklyn, locker
room, and shower facilities. No leagues to
join! Men and women are welcome. Players
should bring both dark and light jerseys!
All sessions are “no-check” and limited to a
maximum of 30 players. The first two goalies
are always free! Pucks will not be provided so;
please bring your own. All evening sessions
attracting more than 20 skaters will have an
open hockey monitor timing shifts and making
sure ice time is equal.

Our Sports Performance department is now Aviator Athletic Academy. Our Trainers
customize programs for athletes of all ages and goals. From professional sports
hopefuls, all the way down to youth sports and everything in between trainees will
build athletic ability.

Onboarding Class/
Athlete Assessment –
Green Light Program
Age: Designed for all kids
This fun program helps kids gain a general
understanding of athletic ability (body
mechanics, aerobic capacity, flexibility &
strength) and will help to set them up for
continuing in athletic training programs.
Preteen – Flight School
Age: 8-12
Our Flight School is designed for athletes
starting to learn the fundamentals.
A functional fitness class involving
strength and speed. In this class, students
will develop a foundation of strength,
endurance and explosiveness. Athletes
will work to improve agility, quickness
and core strength which will get young
athletes to their top performance level
and to better understand how to reach
their potential.
Cost: $65 per month
Teen – Skyhawks
Age: 13 – 18
This program is geared for athletes
playing junior high school, high school,
and travel sports. It continues to build
on the athlete’s foundation of strength,
endurance, and explosiveness by
completing workouts with more volume
at a higher intensity level.

Adult – Fly By and Top Gun
Age: 18+
Fly By – a fast paced, circuit training
based class that will help to increase
metabolism, build strength and give the
mindset to move through daily tasks with
confidence
Top Gun – high volume, high intensity,
high reward: Not for the weak of heart
or mind. 60 minutes of safely pushing
yourself past your limit both mentally and
physically.

speed, agility, flexibility, and range of
motion while helping to prevent injuries.

Team CrossFit, offered Saturday mornings, is
a WOD (Workout of the Day) designed to be

competitive leagues with quality officiating and professional
grade rinks. Players looking for the ultimate travel hockey
experience can try out to be part of the Aviator Hockey Club
program with some of the area’s top teams.
ADULT HOCkEY LEAGUE
Aviator Sports and Events Center offers
fresh adult hockey leagues each season,
each including 10 regular season games
and potential playoffs To qualify for the
playoffs, your team must finish in the top 60%
of your division. Sign up now as a team to
assure your spot in the various leagues that
Aviator has to offer.

TIER 1:
This will be the most advanced division of
hockey at Aviator Sports and Events Center. It
will be most appropriate for competitive players
with Division I, D-II, or D-III college experience or
those who have some pro hockey experience.
Games will be played on various nights 7:30 p.m.
to 12:30 a.m. (Ages 18+).
TIER 2:
This division will consist of players who have
several years of experience playing competitive
hockey. Participants will have experience at
college club teams, high school, and youth
travel teams, or competitive adult leagues. It
is appropriate for players who have proficient
skating, shooting, passing, and overall strategic
skills. Games will be played different nights
from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (Ages 18+).
*ONLY 3 ‘A’ league caliber players per team
TIERS 3 & 4:
These divisions will consist of average to
above-average recreational players with
previous experience in organized hockey.
Players at this level understand the basic
strategy and rules of the game and have
adequate puck handling, shooting and passing
skills. Games will be played different nights
from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (Ages 18+).
*Only 1 ‘A’ league caliber player per team.
TIERS 5 & 6:
This division will consist of players that are
either graduating from our Adult Learn-toPlay programs, have no or little experience in
organized hockey, or coming from inline/roller
hockey. The Aviator Developmental Division
provides an atmosphere of learning, as well as
the competitive spirit of the game of hockey.
Games will be played on various nights from
7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (Ages 18+).

YOUTH HOW TO PLAY
The Aviator Atoms program is for boys and
girls. This is a 10-week course on your choice of
Tuesday or Saturday afternoons. This program is

Aviator is proud to offer the Yeshiva Girls
Skating Program again. This program fosters
a fun and social environment while teaching
the basics of skating. The girls will be grouped
together and will only be taught by our female
instructors. This is a Basic Skills program that
follows the guidelines set by U.S. Figure
Skating Association. It includes ½ hour of
instruction, ½ hour of free skate practice.
Maximum class size for 3-6 years old is 10 girls
and for 7 years old and up is 15 girls.

Pickleball is the newest sport to come to Aviator, and wen
couldn’t be more excited. With so few programs in the
area, as well as limited court locations, Aviator Pickleball is
a unique and inexpensive opportunity to learn the game,
have some fun, and exercise while improving your skills.
Combining court dimensions similar to badminton, paddles
similar to table tennis and a light ball similar to wiffleball,
Pickleball is a unique experience. unlike tennis, the ball is
served underhand to begin the volley, and a point is scored
when a team allows two bounces without a return. Casual
games are customarily played to 11 while tournament play
ends with a score of 15 or 21.

DIVISIONS
Junior Camp
This camp is designed especially for our
youngest campers. At this level, campers will
still benefit from a wide variety of activities for
the older children, but it’s scaled to be suited
for their developmental stage. Among the
activities that your children will enjoy include
tumbling, turf activities, fun team sports, as
well as appropriate educational programming.
There are two scheduled downtimes during
the day, as well as two snack times and lunch.
This group does not go on outside trips.

will feel like they have earned all the new
activities they have available to them. Campers
will be having fun with their friends while

Younger Division
Children in this division are at the translational
level and will be introduced to new activities,

horizons, and can look forward to a higher
level of gymnastics, team sports, and science
projects. Children will have fun socially with
sports, educational activities, and one field trip
per week to an age appropriate destination
that reinforces what is learned in camp.
Teen Division
At the Teen Division level, our counselors help
empower campers to explore their bigger
interests while engaging in social activities
with friends. It’s all about your child feeling
confident, excited, and engaged. Teens are
actively participating at the highest level of our
activities in swimming, sports, science, and
everything else we have to offer.

Also, ask about bar rental availability, which
allows large groups renting the Sky Mezzanine
to expand their group into Aces Sports Lounge.

corporate Olympics, and open ice skating.

Aviator’s event spaces include indoor & outdoor recreation & entertainment venues. Aviator is ideally
suited for a wide variety of community, sporting, and corporate events. Capacity for events in the
Summer months is up to 5,000 while in the Spring and Fall it increases to 10,000.

The field house is 10,000 sq. ft. of hardwood
surface & 10,000 sq. ft. of turf used for basketball
and volleyball leagues, games, and tournaments.
The area can be covered and converted into
event space for boxing, trade shows, college
fairs, family days and charity events. The curtain
can be lifted, and the room expanded to a total
of 20,000 sq. ft. The room contains an in-house
sound system, wireless microphone, wireless
internet, bathrooms and two private meeting
rooms. The capacity of the entire 20,000 sq. ft.
Field House is 3,000 people.
The expansive grassy area located in front of
Aviator Sports & Events Center is known to guests
as the “Compass Rose.” We host unique festivals,
fairs, and circuses that take place on the Compass
Rose throughout the year. The field is 300 ft. wide
by approximately 700 ft. long with easy access
to the main building, outside bar and outdoor
playing fields. One of the largest open spaces
in the area, it can be used for sporting events,
festivals, group outings, and picnics. You can also
book this area for your own group event!
The outdoor bar is open to the public on
the weekends from May through the Fall.
It is a full-service bar with TVs, music,
picnic tables and food available. Aces
Patio is also available to rent for events,
gatherings, etc.

Easter Weekend for the fun-filled Green Meadow Farms Easter Egg Hunt.

Annually, Aviator Sports and Events Center partners with
Reithoffer Shows, Inc., a family-owned and operated traveling midway
show founded in 1896, to bring Brooklyn and its surrounding areas the
Kings County Fair. Reithoffer Shows is the innovator when it comes to
spectacular attractions, with the newest and most
thrilling rides available. With over 100 rides at major fairs, it is the largest
traveling midway in the world.
Come enjoy exciting rides for toddlers and up, as well as games for all
and delicious carnival food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza,
calzones, strombolis, cotton candy, pretzels and of course funnel cake.
The Kings County Fair also features shows such as the Tiger Encounter. The
Tiger Encounter is the largest touring educational tiger show in the uSA.
MURDER MYSTERY DINNER
May 21 Doors at 6:00 p.m. Starts at 7:00 p.m. Lasts 2.5 hours

At the Aviator Sports and Event Center, we made it easy for you and
your friends to get away with murder or be murdered!. Come out to our
Murder Mystery Dinner and experience a fantastic show, laughter, and
some great food all while trying to solve a crime. This particular show has
an R rating therefore, all participants must be 18 or older to attend.
Of Sound Mind and Dead Body
When a magical mishap leaves a million dollar inheritance up for
grabs, the next trick will be figuring out who the lucky winner is, and
who will end up behind bars for malicious magical mayhem! This
is an abracadabra disaster, and it’s up to you to find the murderer
before they vanish into thin air. Spend the evening glimpsing through
the smoke and mirrors to uncover which hocus pocus hitman offed
the poor fellow, and stop them before this goes down as the most
dangerous magic trick in history.

“I grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota, the big state of hockey, but I married a New Yorker and came to Bensonhurst. When we
had our kids I began looking at various locations for sports activities and birthday parties that the kids could be active at. My
daughter does gymnastics and my son started to learn how to play hockey. Our experience is GREAT. You’ve made us feel at
home, especially on the rinks. Being from MN and surrounded by hockey my whole life has made me realize what great coaching
is supposed to look like: Aviator has the most intensely trained, well respected, experienced skating instructors I’ve seen that
compare only with what we have in Minnesota. The gymnastics coaches are patient and the lessons leave my daughter with smiles
and excited to come back for more. Don’t choose anywhere else for skating or gymnastics, especially if you want the “surburban
sports mom” feel in the Big Apple. Only choose Aviator!”

I came here to watch some pick up games of basketball
but in doing so, I saw that there are activities for everyone.
Children and adults can enjoy a ton of field games, go ice
skating, play dodge ball etc and simply have a good time
exercising rather than getting into trouble elsewhere on the
weekends. There is also a bar for the adults who come to
chaperon which I thought was a nice little addition.
Such a convenient place for children and adults to go out
and play! Definitely check it out!

It’s nice here. Two fields plenty of parking
and activities to do. They also host high
school football and soccer. The place is
clean and the staff is very professional
and are very safe. They also have different
programs for children of all ages. Quick
and easy to get to. Check the place out.

I went here for a boxing event , the place
was set up really nicely. I liked how the bar
over-looked the whole boxing ring , those
were probably the best seats in the house.
The Arena was clean and the people were
nice. I also noticed a lot of arcade games
and an ICE RINk. Very cool place.
