Who is your favourite cricketer, and why? Belinda Clark - great captain, impeccable batting technique and she holds the world record for highest score in an ODI. He’s smart, backs his own ability and his teammates. What is your best cricketing moment/ performance to date? Playing my first Test match against England and regaining the Ashes. A recent trip to Spain traveling the countryside on motorbikes and with only a tent and backpack is one of my most favorite holidays so far. When did you first represent your country in a cricket match/series? 2008 in an Indian series at home in Australia. Relatives who have excelled in any other sport before and the level achieved? My sister was very talented as a young girl throughout high school and was chosen to represent Australia at the Junior Athletics Champs in America, as well as representing Australia in Junior Netball, so I had a pretty competitive upbringing – but in a good way. Who is your favourite cricketer, and why? It was Andrew Symonds, I used to love watching him in the field, strong, athletic, and dominant, and any given moment he could turn the game. What is your best cricketing moment/ performance to date? Last season in domestic cricket we were down in Tasmania and I scored my first 100, that was very special and around my old team mates was a real buzz that day. Sachin Tendulkar – because he has adapted his game to last a couple of decades, small in stature, extremely successful and I just love watching him bat like most cricketers. What is your best cricketing moment/ performance to date? Winning the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2005 (South Africa) and the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 (West Indies). Former Australian and Queensland batsman, Stuart Law has recently returned to Australia to work at the Cricket Australia Centre of Excellence after stints coaching overseas. Most recently, Law was coach of Bangladesh and before that was working with Sri Lanka. In his new role as COE High Performance Coach. Law has recently returned from coaching the Australian U19 side to the Final of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in Queensland. In his playing days, Law played 54 ODIs for Australia averaging 52, while he also played a sole Test against Sri Lanka at the WACA in 1995. Following involvement as the Assistant Coach for three seasons this is Fitzpatrick’s first campaign at the helm of the Australian team. The coach of the Victorian Spirit since 2009-2010 she has taken the side to back-to-back National T20 titles the past three seasons. Cathryn Fitzpatrick Coach A veteran of 109 ODIs and 13 Tests for her country, Fitzpatrick was regarded as the fastest female bowler in the world, regularly bowling 125 km/h. She was an integral part of a successful Australian team and retired from international cricket in 2007 with an impressive 180 and 60 wickets in ODIs and Test matches respectively.
