PEDRO
Pedro is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer,
arranger, producer, and one of Latin America’s
leading exponents of folk, rock and pop.
Aged just 18, he founded Serú Girán, together
with Charly García, David Lebon and Oscar Moro,
a benchmark of rock for generations to come.
Pedro was also a member of the Pat Metheny
Group, one of the world’s most respected jazz
lineups, with whom he won three Grammy awards.
He has composed original music for ten films,
reaping various awards in the process. In 1993 he
embarked on a glittering solo career, releasing 17
albums and winning seven Gardel prizes.
As a poet he has had two books published and
sees wine as “liquid poetry”, the most noble of
drinks. He has become so involved in the
Abremundos project that he has studied to be a
sommelier at Argentina’s prestigious CAVE: the
Argentine Centre of Wines and Spirits.
MARCE
A wine expert from Mendoza, Marcelo was
forever clambering up and down the vines his
immigré grandfather kept at home. Together
they produced a foot-pressed wine.
Now at the head of the Monteviejo Winery and
Michel Rolland’s right hand man, Marcelo is the
first Argentine winemaker to be awarded 100
points by Robert Parker’s “The Wine Advocate”,
for his wine Chateau La Violette 2010 produced in Pomerol, France.
Also a lover of music, the guitar is Marcelo’s
other great passion in life.

8o C during 10 to 15 days. Barrel rotation and pigage by hand.
AGING
16 months in French barrels, 6 months bottle aging.
TEMPERATURE
Serve between 14-16o C.
