These days she’s still in headlines as a top jumper rider and coach. These days this horseman is most recognizable as the trainer of top equitation and jumper competitors. He got his start dominating the medal scene himself. 20 The Chronicle of the Horse 2 GRIMES PHOTO Even at 11 years old, this California rider’s classic style made her a standout in the hunter and equitation rings, often on the same horse. She went on to win both the ASPCA Maclay and USEF Medal Finals, and now she focuses on grand prix competition. This famous international rider topped his ASPCA Maclay regional the week after he campaigned in an FEI World Cup Qualifying class. These days she focuses on coaching other young riders to top equitation ribbons.
