The Laguna Tools SmartShop | MT is the most versatile router
platform ever created. With an extended gantry and
extra-large tool plate, the machine can be configured to meet
multiple production needs in a single machine.

Applications for this machine are endless. In addition to the
stock 4 HP spindle, tool possibilities include tangential knife
system, roller creasing wheel, oscillating tangential knife, right
angle spindle, secondary spindle for metal (low RPM),
repeated drilling process, braille distributor and pneumatic
self-feed tapping system. Since the SmartShop | MT uses
Laguna's 4th axis control set, a turning device (lathe) can be
added as well. So many tool possibilities, too many to list.
One key feature is the retraction of added devices on
precision linear pneumatic slides so when not in use, they are
out of the way while routing. Another major feature is the
identification of each item on the tool plate by a specific tool
number, while X and Y offset from main spindle is in the tool
call out. This means flawless transitions between tools within a
program; the operator sets one G54 (work reference), and all
other tools have their offsets built in to reference center line of
main spindle.

Becker offers a variety of vacuum pump
types that cover a wide range of operating
pressures from atmospheric to 0.5 torr
(29.9 in.Hg). These include both oil-less/dry
and oil flooded rotary vane; oil-less/dry
rotary screw; regenerative blowers, and
radial blowers.
Used in point-to-point boring
machines and in milling machines, the
boring heads for CNC machines are
available in a wide range of models
with vertical spindles, horizontal
spindles or cutting units.
The use of pneumatically driven units
with oval section pistons guarantees a
35% increase in thrust in the spindle
lowering mechanism, compared to

HSD independent spindle boring

A new solution to an old problem. Heat build up on dry
machining operations reduces tool life and machining
rates. The Cold Gun Aircoolant System produces a
stream of clean cold air at 50°F (28°C) below supply air
temperature. Operation is now a quiet 70 DBA and there
are no moving parts to wear out. It will remove heat to
prolong tool life and increase productivity on machining
operations when liquid coolants cannot be used.

Bandit 4/3 Edgebander
The Laguna Bandit 4/3 is a Four Station (Top/Bottom, End-trim, Scraping &
buffing) 3mm heavy duty Track feed Bander equipped with high-end
electronics and motors from suppliers like Siemens, Schneider &
Telemecanique. It comes with a host of features such as built-in wheels
system, Teflon-coated glue tank that lowers temperature automatically to
extend the life of both tank and glue. Automatic kickback of the tape so you
do not have to reset it. The benefit to having a 4-station bander over a
2-station is the scraping removes excess glue and the buffing brings the
shine back to trimmed edges something that is very time consuming to do
by hand. Pressure rollers: #1 is motorized and has separate pressure
adjustment, #2 is idle and has separate pressure adjustment. Pull out
support with rollers offers support for wider panels. Numerical readout on
trimmers, panel thickness makes change-over fast and accurate.
