So you’ve booked your trip to QCL...
Follow this quick and easy guideline to preparing yourself for your 2015 fishing adventure!
Now that you’ve booked your trip up to QCL, it’s time to get excited! Start by forwarding this Travel Information Package on to everyone in your group. We know you’re
busy so do it now, before you forget. There’s information in here that everyone in your group will need to ensure they’re prepared for the trip.
Complete your fishing license.
WHAT? QCL does everything for me; you’re not doing it anymore?! We’d love to but DFO (Fisheries and Oceans) has made some changes which means QCL is no longer able to issue fishing licenses for our guests.
We apologize for this and wish it wasn’t the case, but what are you going to do? We still want to try to make this as seamless as possible for you so simply click on the
link below where you’ll have to set up a profile and then purchase your fishing license. Don’t forget to include the Salmon Conservation stamp - it’s required to fish for
salmon. Remember - everyone planning to step foot onboard a boat requires a fishing license and stamp. DFO fines heavily if you get stopped and can’t produce your
license so we advise against testing them on this. If you have any issues with your license contact DFO at 1.877.535.7307
NOTE: 2015 licenses are available April 1st

Do the questionnaire.
While you’re filling things out, also complete your Pre-Trip Questionnaire. Included in this Travel Information Package is a blank questionnaire form. We know, this is
boring and takes time. But keep in mind that completing and returning this form allows us to have everything fully prepped for your trip prior to your arrival to the Lodge.
This will allow us to get you out on the water as quickly as possible! Now that we’ve got your attention, please.... fill out and return the attached blank form or else
complete it on our website.
Here’s the link to the questionnaire:

What are the details regarding my travel to and from the Lodge?
Get ready to enjoy a quick 2 hour flight to Masset aboard our comfy Boeing 737
jet! See below for all your pertinent flight info. Please keep in mind that all flight
times are estimates only and can be delayed.
Please Note:
MAXIMUM BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE OF 25 POUNDS PER PERSON

Why check in so early you ask?
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to get this big jet into the air. All bags need to be weighed, recorded, then that information is tabulated and sent to
head-office on the East Coast before being approved and sent back to us. It’s at this point we can begin loading and boarding the jet and get you off on your adventure. If you’re tempted to hit snooze on your departure morning, keep in mind that the later everyone checks in, the later the flight leaves and you get out on the water
fishing! BUT, note that check in closes off at 7:00 am so it may be a good idea to set multiple alarms that morning!
Require a hotel stay in Calgary?
How about one with a complimentary shuttle to get you to your early morning check-in? Contact the Hilton Garden Inn - Calgary Airport and book your room at our
QCL guest preferred rate. Give them a call at 1.877.410.2020
Next question - how do you get from Masset to the Lodge?
Well... aboard a 12 passenger HeliJet Sikorsky S76 helicopter of course! We do this in shuttle form and you’ll be provided with your “heli number” at check-in.
And finally, we know you’ve been wondering about this 25 pound baggage limit per person...
Anything above this weight limit means we can’t guarantee it getting into the Lodge with you on your helicopter – these aren’t freighters after all. They’re designed to get
you to the Lodge fishing fast, not to carry your various shoe choices for different coordinating dinner outfits. Follow our packing suggestions listed to the right and you
should be in great shape. It doesn’t sound like much but trust us, 25 pounds is more than you need for your fishing adventure. After all, we have everything up there
you could possibly need!

A couple random notes for your reference:
~All you require to check in is a piece of government photo ID. There are no tickets you need to bring.
~There are no seating assignments on either the Boeing 737 or your helicopter shuttle into the Lodge.
~Guests requiring extra assistance will be pre-boarded (please advise a QCL representative of this).
~Snacks and drinks will be provided on your flight.
~Just to reiterate: 25 lbs of baggage per person. ~Bring only one bag, or divide that weight amongst totes, bags, suitcases & duffles. ~ It’s totally up to you so long as they weigh a combined 25 lbs per person! ~ And no, unfortunately you can’t just pay for additional baggage.
~ This INCLUDES ALL carry-on bags, purses, laptops, fishing gear (Best to use a soft sided duffle bag)
