Insotect Flow™ Makes Apparel Debut in Inaugural Big Agnes Down-Filled Jackets
VANCOUVER BC January 17, 2013 – Insotect Ltd. is pleased to announce that the company’s Insotect Flow™ insulation system will be present as a key component in Big Agnes’s new collection of mid-weight down
jackets with DownTek™ water repellent down. The hoodless Hole in the Wall Jacket and hooded Shovelhead Jacket will debut during Fall 2013 in men’s and women’s models and feature Insotect Flow construction
technology.
This marks the first time ever that Insotect Flow will be present in a category outside of sleeping bags. Insotect Flow has quickly gained broad adoption as a staple feature within leading high-end sleeping bags and is
now widening its portfolio to include down-filled jackets.
Year in Review
Insotect is the originator of the ground-breaking insulation system concept that has become one of the most significant
performance drivers for insulated outdoor gear. Through our continued commitment to brand leadership and a continuing
collaboration with our partners, we have reached another milestone of forward-thinking and tangible innovation. The
pursuit of superior performance is a philosophy and natural determination which drives the Insotect brand.
In 2013 we saw the continuing market enthusiasm for Insotect Flow and the introduction of Insotect Tubic; both insulation
systems contributing to the growth of the Insotect footprint within the sleeping bag category. Building on this success,
Insotect made a lateral step into the outerwear category through the adoption of Insotect Flow into Big Agnes’ inaugural
line of insulated down jackets; the Shovelhead and Hole-in-the-Wall series. The launch of Insotect Flow as an insulation
system for outerwear has bolstered Insotect’s reach as a robust and high-value leader in construction technology.
Today, Insotect’s insulation systems elevate gear utility and fitness for leading retail brands such as Marmot, EMS, Big
Agnes, Montbell, Rab, Nemo, Salewa and Zerogram; across North America, Korea and Europe.
“We’re fired up to make the jump into down jackets because we know how well the technology works in our down sleeping bag line,” commented Bill Gamber, Big Agnes founder and president. “What’s unique about
these jackets is the DownTek™ water repellent down and the Insotect Flow™ vertical baffles, which facilitate heat distribution and retention. It just works better.”
Insotect Flow combines the presence of vertical thermal channels (VTCs) with Insotect’s proprietary FlowGates™. The vertical orientation primarily helps to facilitate heat distribution more readily along the length of
the insulated gear which is an advantage over traditional side to side horizontal channels and box-stitching on jackets. The FlowGates are placed along the vertical thermal channels to hold the down insulation in
place, minimizing any down-shifting and virtually eliminating cold spots. The presence of vertical baffles also enables the gear to take on a more form fitting shape which fashion conscious consumers will appreciate.

Insotect Flow™ Helps Power NEMO Nocturne Sleeping Bag to 2013 Backpacker Editors’ Choice Award
VANCOUVER BC February 21, 2013 – Insotect Ltd., a leader in insulated gear construction technology, is pleased to announce that its Insotect Flow™ insulation system has helped power the NEMO Nocturne
sleeping bag to a 2013 Backpacker Editors’ Choice award.
Insotect’s contribution to the Nocturne sleeping bag includes the Insotect Flow insulation system; which combines the presence of vertical thermal channels (VTCs) with Insotect’s proprietary FlowGates™. Insotect
Flow’s vertical thermal channels distribute heat more readily from head to toe compared to traditional side-to side horizontal baffles. Heat can now effectively travel the entire length of the channel alongside the body,
bringing warmth throughout. Vertical baffle construction also allows the gear design to more closely reflect the contours of the user, taking on a more comfort forming shape which in turn keeps the insulated comfort
closer to the body while also requiring fewer total baffles. Fewer baffles mean less material and less material translates directly into lighter gear.

Insotect Flow™ Insulation System Adopted by Zerogram for 2014
VANCOUVER BC September 5, 2013 – Insotect Ltd. is pleased to announce that the company’s Insotect Flow insulation system will be adopted by Zerogram for inclusion in their 2014 sleeping bag line. Zerogram
will carry Insotect Flow as the component construction technology within their High Sierra, White Wolf & Cholatse sleeping bags.
Insotect Flow is an evolution in sleeping bag construction; combining the presence of vertical thermal channels (VTCs) with Insotect’s proprietary FlowGates™. By utilizing vertical channels instead of horizontal ones,
the number of total channels is decreased and thus overall material weight is reduced. The vertical orientation helps facilitate heat distribution more readily from head to toe which is an advantage over traditional side
to side horizontal channels. The FlowGates are placed along the vertical thermal channels to hold the down insulation in place, minimizing down-shifting.
The adoption of Insotect Flow by Zerogram continues Insotect’s expanding presence as a major technical component and value creator within insulated outdoor gear. Insotect is committed to bringing innovation and

Opportunities for Growth
2014 promises to be a dynamic and exciting year for Insotect, its partners and the
outdoor gear market.
As Insotect continues to grow, it expands its value footprint as a leading provider of
construction technology for the outdoor gear market. The successful deployment and
market adoption of this construction technology would not be possible without the reality
of working alongside leading retail brands from all over the world. Insotect’s technical
expertise continues to bring opportunities, excitement and leading innovation to all
Insotect stakeholders. It is through the coveted partnerships of on-board distributors that
enables us to deliver breakthrough performance to market.
The successful introduction of Insotect Flow into the outerwear category during 2013
has fast-tracked several new lines of Insotect Flow jackets for retail in 2014. These
new lines will incorporate new styles, lighter weights and higher power-fills.
2014 will also bring Insotect Tubic into the outerwear category; as it is slated to be
the construction technology of choice for Big Agnes’ inaugural synthetic-fill insulated
jackets. The landscape of insulated apparel – down and synthetic – is now well
positioned to capitalize on and benefit from Insotect innovation much like the
sleeping bag category has.
Moving forward Insotect continues its commitment to growing strong beneficial
working relationships with new and existing partners, broadening the Insotect reach
into new markets and taking hold of new opportunities.
