BEGINNERS CANOE & KAYAK
LESSONS FOR ALL
Guest Services Inc., in cooperation with the National Park Service, will sponsor one and a half hour
classes in June, July, and August on the C&O Canal, weather permitting.

Sessions start promptly at 6:30 p.m. with a brief instruction before entering the canoes or kayaks.
Participants should arrive about 6:00 p.m. to select a canoe paddle and personal floatation vest.
Instruction will be provided by experienced paddlers – members of Canoe Cruisers Assoc.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
All necessary equipment is provided at a nominal fee of $4.00 per adult, per session – children free.
Classes will be followed by a potluck picnic.
