Biotube Effluent Filters How It Works Effluent from the relatively clear zone of the septic tank, between the scum and the sludge layers, enters the Boitube® Effluent Filter through its inlet holes.Effluent then enters the space between the housing and Boitubes, utilizing the entire screen surface for filtering. Particles larger than 1/8” are detained in the interior space, where continued decomposition of organic material occurs. Once the effluent has been filtered through the biotubes, it flows through the modulating orifices at the outlet of the filter. If inflow becomes temporarily excessive, the fluid level in the tank will rise as the modulating orifices slow the flow through the tank, allowing maximum settling of solids. These panels include a motor contractor, which increases system life by reducing the load requirements on the float switches. “S” series panels also allow options such as a programmable timer or use of larger horsepower pumps. MVP Simplex Control Panels, “MVP-S” Series MVP Simplex Control Panels are especialy suited for timed dosing in single pump systems. All MVP’s include an easy-to-use, programmable logic unit that incorporates many timing and logic functions, such as multiple timing intervals to adjust for changing flow conditions. “MVP-S” panels offer several functions as standard, including the sbility to use one float switch type for all functions, elapsed time meters, and digital indication of float switch status. Sand Filter Control Panels, “SSF” Series Sand Filter Control Panels can be used to control two pumps in a sand filter treatment system. “SSF” control panels use motor contractors to activate the pumps, (instead of float switches, as in ASF panels). This allows more flexibility in drawdowns and allows for more options. Interlocked controls prevent the septic tank pump from running if a high level condition occures in the sand filter. “SSF” series panels also allow for options such as a programmable timer for use of larger horsepower pumps. Duplex Control Panels, “DAX” Series Duplex Control Panels can be used in pressure sewer and onsite treatment systems that require the use of two alternating pumps. The pair of pumps can be wired for both “lead” and “lag” operation; a built-in alternating relay switches the “lead” and “lag” positions each pump cycle.
