HUM, WHISTLE AND SING,
LET THE NEW YEAR RING
2016 is off to a fresh, musical start with the third season premiere of American Songbook at NJPAC. The multi-part
music series features performances of American Songbook classics and more by stars of stage, screen and radio.

“NJTV is dedicated to making the arts accessible to everyone, delivering exciting live performances such as these directly
into local living rooms and classrooms,” said John Servidio, General Manager of NJTV. “This series assures a front-row seat
for everyone to enjoy and appreciate this timeless musical genre.”
Kicking off the season is Academy Award-winning composer and Broadway icon Stephen Schwartz and friends, who performs
pieces from Wicked, Pippin and more. Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller and Tony Award-nominee Jarrod Spector from
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Cabaret great Marilyn Maye, jazz royal Catherine Russell, Sirius XM Broadway host
Seth Rudetsky, Christine Ebersole and award-winning Manhattan cabaret
and recording artists KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar will round out the exciting
cast for the season.
“American Songbook at NJPAC is the gold standard for artful and inspiring
performances of classic popular song by our finest interpreters,” said John
Schreiber, President and CEO of NJPAC. “NJPAC couldn’t be prouder to be the
home of original television that is both entertaining and historically important.”
NJTV’s harmonious sounds don’t stop there– the music continues throughout the
month with new My Music offerings like Classical Rewind 2, where actor/
conductor David Ogden Stiers travels the centuries with dynamic symphonic
works and heartbreaking melodies (Saturday, January 24 at 8pm), Dudu
Fisher performs hits from Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story and more in
The Voice of Broadway (Sunday,

Music teacher Jamal Dickerson at Creative Arts High School in Camden provides hope and encouragement
