1 Adriatic Golf Club Cervia
The 27 holes of this charming club wind their way
through uncontaminated pinewoods and salt lakes in
a setting of rare natural beauty just a short distance
from the sea. The first nine holes, along the pinewood,
were built as classic Scottish links, whilst the second
nine, surrounded by water obstacles, were inspired
by the great American courses. The third nine holes,
which opened in 2004, boast a completely innova-
tive design that guarantees that the course is extremely enjoyable. The Italian Professional Championships
have been held here on several occasions, as have
all the most important Italian amateur competitions.
A Mecca for international tourism, the golf club is
surrounded by tourist facilities including top-class
hotels.

The course, designed by the famous American architect Brian M. Silva, extends over the lush green
expanse of the Valmarecchia Park. All around, it offers
unrivalled and truly breathtaking views of the medieval boroughs of Verucchio, Torriana and San Leo. In
the background, it is possible to make out the castles
of San Marino and Mount Carpegna. This beautiful,
American-inspired golf course is situated just a few
kilometres from Rimini and its international airport.
Rimini-Verucchio Golf Club A.S.D. offers a charm-
ing course and thanks to its 18 championship and 7
executive holes, which are reserved for beginners,
it can satisfy the requirements of all golf enthusiasts.
Its gently rolling fairways, dotted here and there with
bunkers and small lakes, guarantee that any game is
just a little more demanding on the golfer. Golfers of
all levels can use the splendid Golf Academy, a fully
irrigated and floodlit course that is 210 metres wide
and 340 metres long and has 100 positions, including
25 under cover, and directional greens.

HOW TO GET THERE:
From Rimini Nord exit on the A14 Bologna-Ancona motorway and head
towards Santarcangelo. After the flyover, go straight at the roundabout and
continue, following directions for Verucchio. About 1,000 metres after the
bridge over the River Marecchia turn right at the traffic lights. Once in Villa
Verucchio, turn right at the first roundabout onto Via Tenuta. The golf club
is at the end of the road (about 10 minutes drive from the motorway exit).
From Rimini Sud exit, take the A-road towards Bologna. At the flyover,
keep to the right (pass under the flyover) then turn left towards Verucchio.

The golf course meanders along the right bank of the River
Conca, an area of outstanding natural beauty and notable
avifaunal interest. The 18-hole course was planned by
the famous designer Graham Cooke to adapt to the gently rolling hills of the countryside near San Giovanni in

Surrounded by the striking chalk vein and by the
green hills of the Tosco - Romagnolo Appenines, this
modern course stretches over more than 200 hectares of green, uncontaminated nature. The layout is
particularly technical with alternating flat and sharply
sloping holes to test both strength and accuracy. To
make the game even more exciting, there are lakes,
bunkers, unexpected obstacles, and ravines - the
spectacular geological phenomenon typical of the
area. The attractive Club House with its wide range of
facilities also caters for the needs of non-golf players.

5 Argenta Golf Club
Argenta’s picturesque golf course features 18 holes and is
located between Ferrara and Ravenna, 40 min from the
sea and from Bologna. It is surrounded by the Po Delta
regional park, near the Argenta natural reserve Valle
Santa. The ideal location to meet sport, tourist, cultural
and gastronomic demands. The course is integrated into
the surrounding area following its rolling terrain and
river banks. Water hazards, low dunes with groves, local
essence bushes and six elevated teeing grounds are the
main features of this technical and varied track. Designed
by Giovanni Trasforini in 1991, with strengthened grounds
and luxuriant trees, the golf club has hosted Emilia
Romagna regional championships, junior and professional
tournaments. In 2012, following the change of ownership,
new investments on the Argenta Golf Club have led to a
series of improvements. The scenic landscape, the track,
the new organization, the quality of accommodation and
the friendliness of the people all contribute to choosing
this striking course for their golfing needs.

From the highway: highway A13 BO-PD, Ferrara Sud exit, take SS16
Adriatica to Ravenna, follow the signs for Argenta. One km before the town
follow the sign on the right immediately after Boccaleone. From Bologna:
follow the signs for Budrio, Molinella, Argenta to Ferrara. Approximately
one km after Argenta you will see a sign on the left. (50 km in 50 minutes).
From Ravenna take SS16 Adriatica to Ferrara. Approximately one km
after Argenta you will see a sign on the left. (40 km in 40 minutes) From
Lidi Ferraresi: take Ferrara-Mare road, follow the signs for PortomaggioreArgenta. One km before the town follow the sign on the right immediately
after Boccaleone ( 30 km in 30 minutes). From Cervia/Milano Marittima/
Rimini: take SS16 Adriatica to Ravenna or highway A14 , Imola exit, then
follow directions for Conselice, Argenta towards Ferrara Approximately
one km after Argenta you will see a sign on the left. (60 km in 1 hour)

C.U.S. Ferrara Golf Club has a really unusual characteristic on the Italian golfing scene: situated in the
enchanting area near the town park and overlooking
the Estensi walls in the north of the city, it is less
than 500 metres from the old town centre of Ferrara.
Adjacent to the other university sports facilities,
where it is possible to practice various disciplines
under the guidance of expert instructors, C.U.S.
Ferrara Golf Club offers rates that are accessible to
everyone, thanks to a shrewd policy that doesn’t only
address the academic world. It was the first Italian
golf course to reach a special agreement with the
Italian Golf Federation. In fact, it was first extended
in 1996 thanks to funding by the Federation itself,
and since 2004 has offered 18 regulation holes over
an interesting course marked here and there with
autochthonous trees and plants.

One of the classic Italian courses, designed by Cotton
& Harris and built in 1959, the golf club is situated on
splendid rolling countryside with marvellous sweeping panoramic views across the surrounding hills and
plains. Its layout is constantly being up-dated and in
recent years, it has played host to the Italian Amateur
Championships many times as well as to a great number of top level professional competitions. The smart
and elegant clubhouse blends in well with the sur-

The San Valentino Golf Club is situated in a valley over 300
metres above sea level in the neighbourhood of the same name,
in the municipality of Castellarano. It is surrounded by over 130

Inaugurated in 1991, the Castell’Arquato Golf Club
stands at the point where the lush valleys around
Piacenza meet the rolling hillsides of Parma. The
course is set in 64 hectares of countryside at about
220 metres above sea level. It is just a dozen or so
kilometres from Piacenza and near the beautiful
mediaeval borough of Castell’Arquato. The course

Croara Country Club is found on Emilia’s north-western border, a few kilometres from Piacenza, in a hilly

Faenza Golf Club celebrated its 20 years of activity
in 2011. Over the years it has grown steadily,
moving on from being a promotional 9-hole

Casalunga Golf Club is located just outside
Bologna, less than ten minutes from the city centre.
A flat course with 9 simple holes, it is particularly
beautiful and in an exceptional natural setting. In
fact, it stands around a wonderful lake, a haven for
numerous species of migratory birds. In technical
terms, it covers 3,010 metres and is a par 36, with
some particularly difficult holes that require great

K Monte Cimone Golf Club
Monte Cimone Golf Club was built in the shadow of
Mount Cimone in summer 2003. Set in a wonderful lush
green area of unspoilt natural beauty, it was built based
on an initiative by the company S.I.R.S Spa, “steered”
by the local entrepreneur Giampaolo Pelloni who had
always believed in the resources of this magnificent territory. It is in a mountainous area, far from pollution,
smog and traffic. This is almost an “enchanted” valley
and is also ideal for families who wish to spend a few
days breathing fresh air. The first 3 holes opened in 2005
and in 2007 work was completed on another 3 holes.
Finally, in 2009 the course was finished and now boasts
9 holes. Technically, it is a mountain course that covers
2,194 metres, par 34, with undulating fairways and small
greens. Hole no. 5 is especially difficult and players need
to be particularly precise there. The golf club offers a bar
with terrace, changing rooms, a small pro-shop, a putting
green, a practice course with 10 covered stations and a
pitching green area.

This is a hilly course that covers 2,900 metres, par
36, with alternating ascending, descending and
terrace holes. Part of the course lies in a centennial
oak and chestnut wood. There are various water
obstacles along the course that, in addition to
affecting the game, are home to a variety of aquatic
birds. The golf course is overlooked by Castello
della Bastardina, which dates from the 13th century.

Professional Golf Clinics in Emilia–Romagna
Every month throughout the year the golf courses of Emilia-Romagna host Golf Clinics for professional instructors and their clients wanting
to combine a splendid holiday with improving their swing under the expert eyes of their coaches. Golfers are provided with all the equipment and materials necessary. A separate area of the practice course is reserved for the Golf Clinic, and participants can make full use of all
the facilities of the club house. Programmes can include practice sessions on the driving range and game lessons on the course. For swing
analyses, the golf club offers instructors and their clients a private room, video equipment and everything else needed to analyse the strokes
made on the practice course and the main course over the day. A similar room can be reserved for club fitting lessons, theory sessions or
end-of-course awards ceremonies. Prices for participation include unlimited use of the practice course and practice balls, any necessary hiring of clubs, green fees, return transfers between the hotel chosen and the golf course, return transfers between the airport and the hotel and
