Dear Toronto Chapter and Membership,
BRAVA!
I stand and applaud, again, ten years later. You have not only met a milestone, you did it beautifully and
with grace. I do understand that … after all … that is the Canadian way!
The actions required to positively shape an industry and its members, to my mind, is one of the most
commendable and liberating virtues that one can experience professionally. In ten short years, the NEWH
Toronto Chapter has made a strong impact on its members; the collective NEWH organization and the
entire hospitality industry.
In order to launch and to subsequently sustain success, it is important that an organization’s culture be
established and maintained. NEWH, Inc. sets high standards of professionalism and governing principals
for chapters-in-formation to follow. But, it was the Toronto chapter Founders that ultimately shaped the
culture that your chapter exemplifies. They understood that professionalism and networking works best
when respect, nurturing and personal growth – all strong contributors to the foundation and stability your
chapter enjoys – are employed. Please recognize them for their leadership.
Please also recognize the dedication, leadership and time commitments demonstrated by your sequent
nine years of leaders, committee chairs and members. You have all invested in your success. You have
