Meet Our New
Team Members
The Board of Directors of Aberdeen Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the
appointment of Robert J. Goscicki of Fremont (MI) to the position of President and CEO.
The Board of Directors welcomes Robert with great enthusiasm and is convinced they have
found a dynamic and engaging leader to guide the credit union into the future. Mr. Goscicki
shared, “I am honored by the opportunity to lead such a well-respected organization and build
upon Aberdeen FCU’s heritage of success.”
Mr. Goscicki is a seasoned credit union executive with more than twenty years of industry
experience. Serving as President and CEO at Citizens Credit Union, he played an important
leadership role providing strategic management and vision. During his tenure at Gerber
FCU, Mr. Goscicki restructured the management team and branch operations, infused new
life through re-branding, business development and marketing strategies, along with initiating
a “service driven” philosophy. These efforts propelled asset growth while at the same time
driving high levels of member loyalty and strong values.
Most recently, Mr. Goscicki has served as an independent consultant providing corporate
financial / management services. While serving in this capacity, he has brought leadership to
management teams and Board of Directors to create an environment focused on service to the
members and growth that is beneficial to all stakeholders.
Mr. Goscicki holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Oakland University,
Rochester (MI), and a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree from Walsh College,
Troy (MI). He also holds a diploma from the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA)
Management School – University of Wisconsin, Madison (WI).
Mr. Robert Goscicki and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons. Robert’s family will be joining
the Aberdeen community as soon as they complete the relocation of their household. Regarding
their upcoming move, he said, “We are all excited about making our new home in Aberdeen
and look forward to getting our boys involved in community activities.”
AFCU Employee Dollar Committee Donates to Local Charities
Every Friday, Aberdeen FCU (AFCU) employees contribute a dollar for the opportunity to wear jeans. Each
quarter, the Dollar Committee donates the funds to a local charity. This past quarter AFCU’s Dollar Committee
donated funds to the CASSP (Child & Adolescent Services System Program) and Junior Achievement (JA).

CASSP, a United Way program, provides needed
dental care to underserved children up to age 20 who
do not have a dentist or have not seen a dentist in
two years or more in the Aberdeen area. No child is
turned away for inability to pay. The next dental van
visit in Aberdeen is July 16-27 at Avera St. Luke’s
Education Center. Call 622-5722 for appointments.

JA is the world’s largest organization dedicated to
economic education for young people in the United
States. JA currently teaches over 1700 children in the
Aberdeen Area, educating students about financial
literacy, economics, and entrepreneurship.

Dear Fellow Members,
After finishing an incredible six weeks as President / CEO of Aberdeen Federal Credit Union,
I would like to express how proud I am to be a part of this truly wonderful organization. I have
found it to be an organization that has a history of strong financial performance because of its
supportive Board of Directors, knowledgeable Management Staff and hard-working energetic
Support Staff. Everyone’s effort has resulted in outstanding financial results by keeping the focus
on excellent member service while promoting the superior products and services you deserve.
The current economic environment is presenting new challenges to Aberdeen Federal Credit
Union and our individual members. It is a good time for all of us to re-evaluate our financial priorities, and to reconsider
the tools and methods used to achieve financial security.
We are proud to continue to serve our community in many ways and make a profound difference in the lives of those
that we dedicate our time and resources to. We continue to be a strong supporter of the many non-profit organizations
that help so many people in Brown County. Additionally, our involvement in the schools helps us to drive our mission
of providing financial education and awareness to the youth, the future of our community and our credit union.

Meet Our New Team Members
Jamie Beckius
Jamie Beckius grew up in Arlington, MN. She graduated from Sibley East High School and
went to college in Mankato, MN where she first started her banking career. She moved to South
Dakota six years ago with her husband Darin. They currently live here in Aberdeen with their
four year old son Carter. She has been in banking for 8+ years, beginning as a Teller and moving
up to Lead Teller, Personal Banker and Service Manager. Jamie made the switch to AFCU as the
Teller Manager/Supervisor May 1st. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, and working on
various projects around the house.
Kim Jahraus
Kim Jahraus was raised in Herreid, SD, through the 8th grade. He graduated from Bowdle
High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead,
MN, double majoring in Business Administration/Accounting and History/Political Science.
His work background includes cost accounting, credit management, and over twenty-five
years of banking experience. Kim and his wife of 32 years, Yolonda, have three children and a
granddaughter. Kim’s hobbies include golfing, playing volleyball, watching sporting events and
working on home improvement projects.
