Dear Sewing Friends,
Do we have some new things in store for you! Both Baby Lock and BERNINA are coming out with LOTS of
new goodies for you. Check out the gorgeous BERNINA 765 below, that comes with a $2,000 value free gift! They are
also coming out with an embroidery only machine—the BERNINA 700. Plus Version 8 software is here!
Baby Lock has the NEW Jazz machine, as well as the Valiant, Presto, Accord, and more. Also available is the
NEW Destiny II. Already own a Destiny? Don’t worry—there will be an update kit available to get the fun new features.
We are also very excited about the NEW EverSewn line of sewing machines. There are three machines to choose
from. They are very smooth running, and have some great built-in capabilities. Plus, they’re so pretty!
Smith Street Designs, Fabric Confetti, and Lunch Box Quilts have been busy coming out with lots of new embroidery applique patterns. Loretta picked “A Day at the Zoo” as one of the new classes—what an adorable collection of
animals. There is a NEW First Grade Quilting class, as well as some really pretty quilts for the Girls Night Out series.
Interested in learning more about the Simply Sixteen, Sweet Sixteen, Tiara, or Coronet machines? Join us for our
HandiQuilter event in November for a new set of classes to learn both sit down and frame machines.
We will be attending 2 quilt shows this year. Brandywine Valley Quilters October 15-16, 2016, and the Pennsylvania National Quilt Show Extravaganza September 15-18, 2016. We will be selling tickets for the National Quilt Show

HANDIQUILTER QUILTING EVENT
Jane began piecing quilts in the late 1990’s. She soon realized that she wanted to be able to
make her own quilts from start to finish and began her quilting journey.
She is a self taught long arm quilter and specializes in custom free motion quilting. Her
quilts, along with customer quilts, have won ribbons from the local level to the national level.
She also quilts for a major fabric manufacturer. She teaches locally, at national shows, and as a
Handi Quilter Educator. She is very passionate about quilting and teaching.
Jane’s philosophy is that no matter what type of machine is used (domestic machine, shortarm, or longarm), anyone can custom quilt. She makes her classes fun and informative! Her
goal in teaching is to equip each student with as much information and knowledge as possible, to
approach quilting fully prepared and ready to custom quilt. Completing an entire quilt gives
such a sense of accomplishment!!

These classes are provided free to those who have purchased their new machine from Hayes Sewing Machine Company.
Please ask any Hayes employee which class or classes apply to your machine. YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE.
You may register by phone or in person. You must bring your machine or serger, except for software classes.
Basic supplies needed: Machine, cords, accessories that come with machine, instruction book, notebook and pen, and thread.
We will provide fabric kit. Hayes Sewing Machine Company welcomes Babylock, Bernina, Singer customers who have recently
purchased their machines elsewhere to join our machine instruction classes for the fees listed by each class.
