The Land Cruiser 200’s mighty 4.5-litre twin turbo charged and intercooled diesel V8 engine will quickly get you on your way with 200kW of power.
There is plenty of torque in reserve with a massive 650Nm produced at only 1600rpm providing the muscle needed to tackle the best - and worst - of
New Zealand’s natural terrain, or if you have something to tow.
The Land Cruiser’s six-speed automatic transmission is designed to handle high torque while remaining a smooth performer. A sequential shift mode
allows the driver to select gears manually too.
Everything at your fingertips
Steering wheel controls allow the driver to access audio volume
and modes (you can choose between radio frequencies or an
auxiliary device on which to listen to MP3 files).
The steering wheel controls also let you receive phone calls and
scroll the display for a variety of up-to-date information.

Technical ability
CRAWL control[?] acts as an ‘off road cruise control’, automatically applying additional power or braking to maintain a very low speed through the tough
stuff. This means the driver can concentrate fully on steering through the tricky terrain ahead.
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)[?] comes into play when starting up steep gradients, carefully managing braking to reduce wheelspin when moving off.
Meanwhile the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)[?] , which is standard on the VX Limited, optimally adjusts the front and rear stabiliser bars,
helping to suppress body roll and give superior on road performance. Similarly wheel articulation has been improved for excellent off-road traction.
