Extra care
Toyota accessories are immensely practical. They help store personal
possessions safely while also keeping them tidy to complement the
Land Cruiser’s immaculate interior.
Consider the boot space for example. The accessory range includes horizontal, vertical
and side nets* that firmly restrain smaller objects to stop them moving around as you
drive. Each net is made of strong woven black nylon with elasticised fixing loops for
easy attachment to pre-fitted hooks in the boot.
Reassuringly, you have accessory choices for increasing comfort
and care for younger passengers and for protecting the car itself.
The Duo Plus child restraint seat is for children between 9 kg and 18 kg (approx.
8 months to 4 years). It anchors directly to the car body by locking into ISOFIX bars
plus a top tether for added stability or can be secured with seatbelts in cars without
ISOFIX locks. The Babysafe protects babies from birth to around 15 months (to 13 kg).
An integral canopy guards against the sun and wind. The Kid seat for children between
15 kg and 36 kg (approx. 3 to 12 years) has an adjustable headrest and is designed to
ensure correct seatbelt positioning for optimum impact protection.

protecting its contents from prying eyes.

Combine Toyota accessories with the Land Cruiser’s famous go
anywhere capability and the result is maximum freedom to explore
life’s special adventures.
A choice of fixed, flanged or detachable tow bars with optional wiring kit enables you
to take full advantage of the Land Cruiser’s strength and stability. All three bars have
anti-corrosion surface treatments and provide the capability to tow anything from
a trailer to a horsebox, boat or a caravan. The 2-positioned flange ball tow bar is also
compatible with a ball and pin for alternative towing applications.
Increasing flexibility even further is the Toyota roof rack or, if fitted with accessory
roof rails, a two or three cross bar system.
Each is fully lockable, easy to install and can be extended with a superb range of
optional attachments. The attachments include a load platform and truly cavernous
yet streamlined central locking luggage box. There are holders for boats* and a
surfboard and mast.

And, for winter sports, you have a choice of two sizes of lockable ski or snowboard
holders* and an aerodynamic central locking ski box. To carry bicycles securely, the
Barracuda attachment has a unique anti-theft system and moulded profiles that grip
the wheels firmly.

Full-time 4WD
This full-time 4WD system provides excellent traction
and control during acceleration and turning. All four
wheels are powered at all times for unbeatable ability
to go anywhere on- or off-road.
Dusk sensor
The dusk sensor monitors light levels and automatically
switches on the headlights when the light is low.
4.5 l V8 diesel
The 4.5 litre V8 diesel engine is one of the most powerful
diesel engines in the Toyota range, delivering flexibility
and an unrivalled driving performance on- and off-road.
The impressive power is boosted by a sophisticated
twin variable-nozzle turbocharger.
Smart Entry & Start System
Instead of a conventional key, the Smart Entry & Start
System features a transmitter that allows you to unlock
the doors by pulling the handle and lock them again by
pressing a button. To start or stop the engine, simply
press the Start/Stop button. All you need to do is carry
the Smart Entry key in your pocket or handbag.
Rear-view camera
Reverse more safely using the rear-view camera. The
clear colour image displayed on screen helps you spot
hidden hazards and park with ease.
Rain sensor
The automatic rain sensor instantly sets the appropriate
wiper speed and intervals.
Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) seats
During an impact at lower speeds and particularly from
the rear, WIL seats and headrests cushion the head and
back. This reduces the risk of whiplash injuries.
Pre-tensioners and force limiters
Integral to the front 3-point ELR seat belts, pretensioners and force limiters are designed to help
avoid injuries to the chest area.
Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags
This model is fitted with ten airbags, including knee
airbags for driver and front passenger. Other SRS airbags
include SRS airbags for both driver and passenger, side
airbags for the front and rear seats, and SRS curtain
shield airbags covering both the front and rear
seat passengers.
Automatic transmission
Toyota’s automatic transmissions offer a smooth,
effortless drive with minimal driver effort. Gear changes
are quick and responsive, and additional manual
modes enable greater control if required. Automatic
transmissions are engineered for the best balance of
performance and economy.
ISOFIX seat fixing
Seats incorporate special anchor points, including a top
tether that helps prevent the seat tipping forward. These
provide a safe and convenient way of correctly securing
ISOFIX child seats (available from your Toyota dealer).

Toyota quality service
Your Toyota centre will talk you through the Land
Cruiser V8 ‘Health and Safety’ maintenance programme.
The programme is very straightforward and designed
for your convenience. In effect, your Land Cruiser V8
needs a full Health and Safety check, dependent on
driving style and conditions, up to once every two
years or 20,000 miles (whichever comes sooner). An
intermediate Health and Safety check is necessary every
year or 10,000 miles (whichever comes sooner).

The Land Cruiser V8 is designed to minimise the cost
of accident repair. Energy-absorbing elements are
built into the bumpers, expensive-to-replace parts
are located away from damage zones, and commonly

Corrosion cover The warranty offers 12 years’
coverage, regardless of mileage, against perforation of
the bodywork (from inside to outside) that develops
due to corrosion caused by faults in materials or

Rust and paint defects The warranty also covers
surface rust and paint defects appearing on any of the
painted body panels as a result of a fault in materials
for a period of 3 years, regardless of mileage.
Extended Warranty
After the initial warranty period has ended, you can
extend your warranty until the vehicle is seven years
old – choosing from a range of packages to suit your
vehicle and your needs. All of our warranties cover the
main component parts of the vehicle◊, meaning that
you pay for nothing beyond routine servicing and
maintenance, so there are no unexpected bills to pay.
Toyota Accident Assistance
At Toyota, we believe that our customers deserve the
best possible care. Therefore if you are involved in an
accident, one call to Toyota Accident Assistance will
