Volunteer Drivers
Drive our cars and help others!
For more than 30 years, we have worked to improve
the quality of life for people in Northern New Jersey
by providing transportation solutions.
In addition to our senior transportation program,
we manage the state’s largest carpool, vanpool, and
shuttle services for the corporate community, county
governments and area colleges.
Our shuttles are equipped with GPS, Mobile
Data Terminals and in-vehicle cameras to ensure
safe, convenient travel every day of the year. We
provide more than half-a-million shuttle rides a year,
saving more than 10,000 gallons of gasoline a day,
while ensuring convenient and reliable mobility
throughout the state’s most densely populated
counties.

We also offer bicycle and pedestrian services, and
transportation services for riders with special needs.
In 2013, as a result of our services, we were named
the Urban Transportation System of the Year by the
Community Transportation Association of America.

donate the time, we provide the auto and the gas, so
there’s no cost to you and plenty of benefits!
For as little as four hours a week, you can make a big
difference in people's lives. The effort isn’t much: A
welcome smile and a quick ride to a doctor’s office
or grocery store is what is typically assigned to our
volunteers. You’ll be driving seniors who can no
longer drive, and community neighbors without cars –
people who are grateful for your service and value the
personal connection to you.

Volunteer requirements
For the safety of riders and drivers alike, you must:
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a current New Jersey driver’s license
•Have a clean driving record for at least three
years and no criminal record
•Be reliable, punctual and have good
interpersonal skills
• Agree to an interview and background check
