REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration for all programs, events and activities may be made in person or by mail, unless otherwise noted. Don’t forget to enter the Ossipee Lake “Ice-Out” Contest! You could win a new rod and reel if you guess when the ice is completely out of the Lake. (There is an entry blank on the back of this brochure.) CANCELLATIONS I am always looking for additional activities. If you have an idea please contact me or complete the “Create-A-Class” form on the back of this brochure. The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program, event, or activity due to insufficient registration or for any other reason preventing a quality activity. Yours in Recreation! We’ll take helmet & bike parts too! Each bike will be given away with a new helmet also. Additional rules may be developed for particular programs and athletic events as deemed necessary. PARTICIPANTS SHALL: 1) - Show respect to all participants and staff 2) - Refrain from using foul language 3) - Refrain from causing bodily harm to other participants or staff 4) - Show respect for equipment, supplies and facilities UNH COOPERATIVE EXTENSION The Carroll County Cooperative Extension Office has moved to Conway! The Extension is a research bases education & information center. Services include: 4-H, Family Development, Forest Resources, Agricultural Resources & Community Development, Food & Nutrition Education Programs & Water Resources. The Ossipee Recreation Department reserves the right to dismiss a participant who does not comply with the Code of Conduct explained here or for any other program, event or activity. Each situation will be evaluated PARK WATCH PHOTO POLICY Park Watch is an ongoing program requiring resident participation to monitor suspicious activities or persons in Town Parks & Ball Fields. HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP: Report any problems requiring immediate action to the Ossipee Police Department (539-2011 daytime, weekdays or 911 anytime). Problems such as broken tables, fences, equipment, vandalism, inappropriate usage of facilities, etc., Should be reported to the Ossipee Recreation Department at 539-1307. PARK & FIELD PERMITS STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The Ossipee Recreation Department offers a wide range of activities for all ages, designed to meet the needs of the community. The Department’s goal is to encourage healthy active use of your leisure and recreation time. Do you have shin guards or cleats (football, baseball, etc.) that you no longer need or that do not fit? Bring them to the Recreation Department & you can either swap them for a pair that fit or leave them for someone who needs them. The card includes phone numbers for a number of agencies within the Governor Wentworth School District. Members of the Kingswood Regional High School’s Peer Outreach have spent a great deal of time putting these together.. They are available at: Ossipee Recreation Department, Kingswood Regional High School & Middle School & the Kingswood Youth Center. TEEN SOCIALS VOLUNTEEN PROGRAM Enjoy an evening of fun, dancing, and socializing with your friends. A Cooperative effort between the Ossipee Police and Recreation Departments. AGES: 12 - 15 COST: $3.00 LOCATION: Ossipee Town Hall TIME: 7:00 - 9:00pm DATES: May 10 There are a lot of areas where you as a teen can volunteer to help the Recreation Department. You may be eligible for valuable work experience through this program. Volunteer your extra time during a Department activity! You may be asked to help monitor activities and assist in planning and implementing new ones! Call the Recreation Department for additional information. OHRV SAFETY COURSE KINGSWOOD YOUTH CENTER INC. This FREE class is required for all operators age 12 & older or for those without a valid driver’s license. Participants need to bring their ATV or Dirt Bike & gear, notebook, pen & lunch. Please leave machines at Town Hall The Ossipee Recreation Department is happy to provide this information! The youth Center is open to any youth age 13 - 18 who is within the Governor Wentworth Regional School District. This after school Center will have everything from art & crafts to games offered.
