Lennard High School finalists compete
in student announcer contest
During the Wind Ensemble’s “Russian Romance” concert at 2 p.m.
on Sunday, April 22 at Sun City Center’s Community Hall 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd. the Sarasota Concert Band, with the support of Beef
O’Brady’s in Sun City Center, is offering Lennard High School students
an opportunity to participate in the band’s live performance.
By taking on the role of “concert announcer” students will introduce
musical selections during the Russian Romance Concert, competing for
cash prizes. Winners will be selected by audience vote. Participate in
helping high school youth in the Sun City Center area blossom as they
compete to master the role of Concert Announcer in the Sarasota Concert
Band’s April 22 performance at the Community Hall. Listen to three
finalists introduce each musical selection, enjoy the majesty of Russian
music and vote on the student with the most skill and audience appeal.
First prize is $100; 2nd is $50; 3rd is $25.
Tickets are $18 for reserved seating purchased at the Community Association Office, at the door on the day of the show or call the office in
advance at (813) 642-2001.
