EMPLOYEES AS WELL
When CWG took our video cameras
to The Men’s Wearhouse location at
3920 Oleander Drive in Wilmington,
we expected to shoot professional
models for a tuxedo fashion
segment that would be featured on
our YouTubechannel. What we
didn’t know was that these sharp
dressed men were also regular
employees at the store as well.
When it came to scripting the
shoot and having a voiceover on the
soundtrack, we got another pleasant
surprise. The assistant store
manager, Melissa Jackson, had
everything written out in advance.
We put a lavalier mic on her and
let the video cameras roll.

THE FORMER WATERMARK MARINA HAS NEW OWNERS AND NEW GOALS
The two business
partners met in 2012
They were both working for
Interstate Hotels and Resorts
as Sales and Marketing Managers
for two of the top hotels in the
Wilmington market, the Hilton
Garden Inn, Mayfaire and the
Courtyard Marriott, WilmingtonWrightsville Beach.
Tina and Chris both have
extensive entrepreneurial
backgrounds, owning and
running their own businesses
in furniture and design. They
continued to cultivate their
their sales personalities in the
corporate world of Wilmington,
making wonderful friends and
businesss contacts along the way.
Their vision was to have their
own management company and
continue to plan and execute
events.
They identified a need in
Wilmington for a unique event
space that would be able to
incorporate weddings, retreats,
meetings and more. They were
fortunate enough to find that
space at the long standing
Watermark Marina at 4114
River Road, which was sold to
a private investment company
in December 2014. They’ve
renamed the two-story 11,000+
square foot venue Events at
Watermark.
The 20+ acre location on the
Historic Cape Fear River offers
infinite possibilities, with a
private pool and 480’ pier and
beautifully landscaped lawn
