Utah Business Week has
just completed its 35th
year; and once again,
it was a big success.
The 125 students that attended the weeklong program at Utah State University were
from schools throughout the state and many
students represented schools that have
not had attendees in previous years. The
students were very engaged, respectful,
great communicators and overall just an
amazing group of young people.
Once again, our sponsors made it possible
for us to host all of the students and make
this amazing program possible. We have
so many long time sponsors and continue
to receive interest from new sponsors.
Each and every dollar that is received
from sponsors is spent entirely on hosting
the students as the administrative costs
are taken care of exclusively by Workers
Compensation Fund.
The advisors and volunteer staff that take a
week from their busy work and family lives to
spend with the students are really the life-blood
of the program. The commitment, energy
and professionalism shown by the advisors
make a huge difference in how the program is
perceived by the students and their families.
Of course UBW would not happen without
the speakers that commit their time and
expertise to help students better understand
business and the free enterprise system.
We appreciate each and every one of our
speakers and the role they play to make our
program successful.
We are busy with our 2016 planning and
hope to host even more students. We do not
want to see any high school junior or senior
miss out on the opportunity to attend this life
changing business boot camp. Thank you
so much for your continued support of Utah
Business Week.
