Hen & Chicken
‘Echeveria Glauca’
Rosettes of blue green leaves up to 12cm across
A succulent variety forming rosettes of blue
green leaves up to 12 cm across, and in
Autumn clusters of coral flower on 20 cm
stems.
Echeveria are highly prized for their colour and
the structural qualities they can add to the
garden. They do best in either sunny or lightly
shaded conditions in relatively dry free
draining soil.
They require some moisture in the warmer
months to perform well, but should be kept as
dry as possible in winter.
Echeverias are fantastic landscape plants,
either mixed with other low growing
complimentary varieties such as alyssum or
small grasses, or used in a mass planting or
border. They are also ideal specimens for
pots, particularly bowl-shaped ones that are
less likely to retain too much water around the
roots of the plants.
They are well suited to a variety of extreme
aspects, perfect for an Australian garden!

Fox Tail’ has a striking and much loved form
of large green rosettes with pointed tips.

tolerant it grows across most of Australia, is

Spineless / Soft Tipped Yucca
‘Yucca Elephantipes’
Small evergreen tree with toothed leathery foliage
A small, evergreen like tree that is one of the
most versatile indoor and outdoor foliage
plants. It develops a thick, branching trunk
reminiscent of an elephant's trunk. It has mid green leaves that are leathery and finely
toothed.
Adaptable to a wide range of climates and
conditions and is drought, salt and frost
tolerant.
This specimen has high architectural appeal. It
can be grown in garden beds and as a
spectacular hardy pot plant. The Yucca plant
produces magnificent white bell shaped
blooms off and on for short periods during
spring and summer, once it is semi mature.
Yuccas need very little care once planted in
the ground, fertilise 2-3 times per year. For
care in pots position them in a well lit area.
Yuccas need some natural light to maintain
vigour. If they are grown indoors and are
looking tired strip back any old or spotted
leaves, pot up to a larger pot and leave
outdoors in a semi shaded position for 3 — 6
months.
Fertilise with fish fertiliser once a month and
water weekly, allow the plant to dry out before
re watering.
Yucca Elephantipes are propagated by
harvesting tall canes. The canes are cut into
lengths and stuck into pots, this creates two
different styles of plant, canes and tips. The
canes have smaller multiple heads and the
tips have very large singular heads.
