CORKAGE BAR

The Casinos of Winnipeg will provide complete corkage service for bar and dinner wine service. We
supply bartenders, glasses, soft drinks, Clamato, orange, cranberry and lime juice, ice, fruit garnish,
napkins, swizzle sticks, and straws. Only Casinos of Winnipeg staff may serve as bartenders.

GRATUITIES AND TAXES
A 15% gratuity will be applied to all food and
beverage related charges. Food and beverage
is subject to Provincial Sales Tax (PST). Food,
beverage and gratuity are subject to Goods
and Services Tax (GST).
AGE RESTRICTION
All casino guests must be 18 years of age or
older and photo ID may be required; however,
with pre-approval, all-ages access may be
granted for the Club Regent Event Centre.
NO SMOKING
Both McPhillips Station Casino and Club
Regent Casino are designated as nonsmoking facilities. Smoking is only allowed in
designated areas outside the buildings.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
All food and beverages served at the casinos
will be prepared and served by the Casinos of
Winnipeg Banquet Department. Exceptions
may be considered for specialty cake, that are
prepared by a commercial baker, although
a service charge will apply for handling and
service.
SUBSTITUTION AND MULTIPLE ENTRÉE
SELECTION
One entrée will be served per meal in a
banquet room. Substitutions may be made
for dietary purposes, so long as the number
of substitute entrées is less than 10% of the
guarantee number. Any substitute entrées
must be confirmed at the time of guarantee,
or an additional charge for the substitute
entrée as well as the ordered entrées will
be assessed.
If two entrées selections are ordered, a $2.00
per guest multiple entrée charge will
be assessed.
If three entrées are ordered, a $4.00 per guest
multiple entrée charge will be assessed.
Multiple entrée quantities must be
pre-ordered.
Any change of entrée, on the event day, will
be prepared and charged in addition to the
entrées guaranteed number. The client will
be responsible for providing visual means of
identifying individual entrée selections.
CAKE CUTTING FEES
Some clients wish to provide a special cake,
purchased from an external vendor, for a
party or celebration. We are pleased to offer
cake cutting and plating at a cost of $2.50 per
guest. Cakes supplied by the client must be
purchased from a commercial bakery. Please
note, there is no charge for children 10 yearsof-age and under.
The Casinos of Winnipeg does not permit the
removal of any food from the banquet rooms
following an event.

Clients who wish to use catering from an
external vendor will be subject to a Plating
Service Fee. There is no charge for children
10 years-of-age and under. Please contact a

CANCELLATION AND LIQUIDATED
DAMAGES
Room rates and rental fees are based on
factors pertaining to the group’s total
program. Revisions in group counts, times,
dates, or food and beverage requirements
may necessitate the revision of the room rates
and rental fees.
Functions cancelled within 90 days of the
event date will be subject to cancellation
charges as outlined in “Schedule A” of the
Booking Contract Agreement. If attendance
at any definite food and/or beverage function
is reduced within 30 days of the event date to
a number below 75% of that specified in the
in the Banquet Event Order, the client shall
pay for liquidated damages an amount equal
to 40% of the anticipated loss of food and/or
beverage revenue.
ACCESS
TAX EXEMPTION
No entries or hallways shall be blocked
impeding the safe movement of guests and
staff. The Casinos of Winnipeg reserves the
right to remove any such items.
Any tax-exempt organization must provide
the Casinos of Winnipeg with an appropriate
tax exemption certificate prior to the function.
Our culinary team is trained in preparing full
gluten free menu options, upon request.
ROOM RATES AND RENTAL FEES
COAT CHECK
GUARANTEE
The Casinos of Winnipeg requires a
guaranteed number of expected guests
attending the event by 12:00 PM, three
business days prior to the event. This is the
minimum number for which the client will be
charged. The Casinos of Winnipeg will charge
based on the guaranteed number, or the
actual number of guests served; whichever is
greater. If the guaranteed number of guests
has not been provided, the client will be
charged for the estimate number of guests as

Any public advertising for events held within
the Casinos must be pre-approved by the

and how the logos will be displayed. As a
guide, the expectation is that any advertising

If bar sales do not reach a minimum of
$350.00, exclusive of taxes, for a minimum of
three hours, a charge for bartenders will be
applied at $17.50 per staff member per hour.

CAMERAS/PHOTOGRAPHS
Photos are not permitted in any gaming area
within the Casinos. Photos are only permitted
outside of the building or within the event
space for the sole purpose of taking photos
of the guests and attendees of the event. For
special photo requirements, please request a
copy of the Casinos of Winnipeg Photo Policy.
Any unauthorized photos taken outside of the
designated areas may be cause for removal of
the photo equipment. A Casino Host can be
arranged to take group photos on the Grand

must be made no later than three days prior

AUDIO/VISUAL
The Casinos of Winnipeg offer a full selection
of in-house audio and visual equipment with
on-site technicians. Additional equipment
must be arranged in cooperation with the
Events Team to facilitate proper integration
with internal systems. If the client supplies
third party equipment, there is a labour fee of
$65.00 per hour, with a one-hour minimum
charge, for Casino Technician assistance and
supervision of set up and tear down.
GAMING ACTIVITIES
Any activities simulating gaming must be
pre-approved by the Casinos of Winnipeg.
Each activity will have no currency or
monetary value. For events with a fundraising
component, the Casinos of Winnipeg must be
made aware in order to confirm compliance
with the Liquor and Gaming Authority of
Manitoba. Any activity deemed an “illegal
lottery” is not permissible at the Casinos of

SIGNAGE/BANNERS
Signs or banners cannot be attached to any
surface of the facilities without prior written
approval by the Casinos of Winnipeg. Duct
tape, thumbtacks, staples or nails are not
permitted. Banners may be hung with the
approval and coordination of the Casinos of
Winnipeg and must be available for hanging
at least six hours prior to the function.

DAMAGES
Access to the event space will be granted as
indicated on the Banquet Event Order. The
client agrees to begin and end all events at
the scheduled times. All functions starting
before casino opening times require the
submission of a complete guest list, for
casino security purposes, a minimum of three
business days prior to the event date. All
events must end by 1:00 AM, unless otherwise
approved through the Casinos of Winnipeg.
Event space must be vacated thirty minutes
after the ending time stated on Banquet
Event Order.
The Casinos of Winnipeg reserves the right
to inspect and control all private event. The
group organizer is responsible for his/her
guests, invitees or other agents acting on their
behalf. Liability for damages to the premises
will be charged to the representative making
the arrangements.
DELIVERIES
All function materials (equipment, printed
materials, displays, etc.) must be delivered to
Loading Door C, between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM,
and be clearly labeled with the event name,
date and banquet room name. All deliveries
are to be made at least two hours and not
more than twenty-four hours prior to the
event. Items/box numbers must be clearly
marked – ex) 1 of 3; 2 of 3; etc. All clients,
entertainment staff and/or contractors who
require access through Loading Door C, with
materials to be used for the event, must go to
the Casino Employee Entrance first to obtain
a Guest Security Pass before entering the
Loading Door area, between 7:30 AM and
4:00 PM. The Casinos of Winnipeg assume no
responsibility for lost or damaged personal
property or equipment. All items must be
removed from the banquet room immediately
following the event.
ALCOHOL
Only alcoholic products supplied by the
Casinos of Winnipeg will be allowed, unless
the function is booked with a corkage bar.
Alcohol will only be served in accordance with
the regulations of the Liquor and Gaming
Authority of Manitoba. All beverages will be
removed thirty minutes after the banquet bar
closes. No alcoholic beverages can be brought
into the casinos. This includes items to be used
in gift exchanges or for fundraising events.
CORKAGE BAR
All rules and regulations must be adhered
in accordance with The Liquor and Gaming
Control Act and Liquor and Gaming Authority of

Responsibilities of a Permit Holder | A permit
holder must ensure:
•
People under 18 years-of-age do not
purchase, handle, serve or consume liquor
at the function.
•
No liquor is kept or consumed at the
function other than that purchased under
the permit.

•
Unless otherwise authorized by the
Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba,
no liquor may be accepted from
liquor suppliers (or their authorized
representatives) for personal use or for use
at the function.
•
Liquor is served only during the hours
specified on the permit. (Liquor may be
consumed, but not served or sold, for 60
minutes after the specified hours. All liquor
must be removed from the tables at the
end of this 60-minute period.)
•
The cost of any unused beverage tickets is
refunded if requested.
•
No liquor is removed from the premises
during the event.
•
No disorderly or intoxicated people are
permitted on the premises.
•
Only authorized raffles are permitted on
the premises.
The permit holder must be in attendance
throughout the event and must allow Liquor
and Gaming Authority of Manitoba inspectors
and police entry should they attend for
inspection purposes.
The permit holder is legally responsible for
any and all guests. The permit holder must
ensure their safety and can be held liable in
case of any accidents or injuries.
Permit bar alcohol may not be delivered
sooner than 24 hours prior to event, and the
permit must be posted once the alcohol has
arrived at the Casinos of Winnipeg.
The permit must be given to the Banquet
Captain on duty before any liquor service
can begin. Original receipts, outlining liquor
brands and quantities, are required to be
available upon request.
The bar(s) will be open according to the time
specified on the permit.
The Casinos of Winnipeg’s bartenders operate
under the regulations of The Liquor and
Gaming Control Act.
The Casinos of Winnipeg will display a
Responsible Service of Alcohol sign near the
point of sale.
The Casinos of Winnipeg cannot be held
responsible for opened, unconsumed liquor
or wine.
No partial entry or exit of permit bar alcohol
will be permitted.
Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries is the newest Crown corporation of the Province of Manitoba,
responsible for the distribution and sale of beverage alcohol, and for providing gaming and
entertainment experiences, all in a socially responsible manner.
Banquet Team will be responsible for
re-corking all alcohol.
Permit bar alcohol is to be picked up the
following day. All alcohol, including empties
and partial bottles, are to be returned to the
permit holder. Units must match the
original purchase.
The Casinos of Winnipeg has the right to
refuse liquor service if any of the above
conditions are not adhered to.
