Grand Repos and Repos stand in the tradition of the classic
lounge chair, but develop this concept to reach a new level.
With their generous padding and continuously adjustable sitting
positions, these chairs fulfil almost all demands with respect to
comfortable, relaxed seating.

Antonio Citterio
The Italian designer and architect Antonio Citterio knows how
to combine timeless elegance with unsurpassed comfort.
He has worked with Vitra regularly for around 25 years creating
a variety of designs – including several pioneering office chairs.
After many years of experience in creating dynamic and healthy
seating, he has now applied his expertise to the private living
area, with Grand Repos as his premiere piece.

Biomechanical range of motion
Thanks to their biomechanical range of motion, Grand Repos
and Repos adapt to all seating positions – from a reading
to a reclining position. The angle of the seat and backrest
change in a synchronised movement and the invisible mechanism
integrated into the chair can be locked in any position. The
wide armrests and the body-contoured backrest in the lumbar
zone ensure comfort. The matching upholstered ottoman and
panchina footrests provide optimal relaxation in a reclined
position.
The high-quality leather and fabric covers of the Grand Repos
range feature decorative stitching in complementary colours. The
feet are available in either polished or powder-coated aluminium.
