You are responsible for airline departure taxes ($30+/-) when leaving Argentina. Flights depart Miami about 10PM and arrive back about 6AM. Plan to arrive in Miami late afternoon going down. Electricity is 220 volt or generators at the ranches. Bring a converter/transformer for your electrical appliances. Local liquors are included with your package. If you drink a specific brand, bring it from home or pick it up at Duty Free in the airport. There are also Duty Free sales on the airline flights to/from Argentina. The customary tip for bird boys is $25/day. It’s also customary to tip your Guide/Host and/or driver and the house staff (cooks, maids, etc.) The general suggested tips for The Entire Trip are: Staff - $50, Driver - $10, Translator/Host - $30, Guides/Scouts - $30. These are guidelines for a 3 day hunt - You’re the judge. Cash (there’s no need to change currency) gets you an immediate 10% discount when shopping. Cash is appreciated for additional ammo due to the banking ‘situation’ in Argentina. A 1-2% surcharge may be charged for checks. Cashmere & leather goods are the best buys.
