Two largest are complete figures with string cut detail. Also a Mezcala figure
with angular face, drilled eyes and crossed arms. Next an Olmecoid hunchback, lacking fine detail, but intact. Together with a Mixtec, pointy-headed
penate type figure in brown stone. Finally a simple, ovoid carving of a stylized bird. Each is on its own wooden block base.

front left corner, held upright with a wood replacement pole. A minor hairline in the top center of the palanquin, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond.

red pigment, scattered mineral deposits. Some repairs and restoration to
arms and legs.

Both are solid buff color pottery seated figures including a monkey with
clasped hands. Some remaining traces of white surface pigment. Loss to
both feet, otherwise intact. Together with a seated human figure with arms
and legs outstretched. High textured hairdo with a diagonal band. Some
remaining white surface pigment. Intact.

Two pottery figures including a standing figure with hands held on hips,
wearing small ear ornaments and having perforated eyes and navel. Some
remaining white slip surface with overall scattered deposits. Intact. Together with a seated female figure with outstretched arms, plump stomach
and applied double tiered hairdo. Overall scattered surface deposits. Head
and right arm reattached with breaklines visible, some minor losses along
breaklines, ancient chip on left hand.

Both are red-brown pottery examples, one depicting the corn god and the
other, the rain god, Choc. The corn god holds an ear of corn with both
hands, having expressive facial features, open mouth. Repaired break
through the legs with visible breaklines, stable vertical crack down the left
side of his back. Choc is missing his left arm and right ear, scattered losses
mostly around the base rim. Remaining traces of ocher surface pigment.
Both have mineral deposits and root marks.

Deep dish bowl in black painted pottery with incised step and geometric
design on the exterior, those areas within are etched and bear cream-white
pigment. Surrounding areas are burnished black, as is the interior which
also has lightly incised sun and ray design. A few breaks, several pock
holes filled and restoration over those repairs.

Two pottery vessels including a Moche gray ware pottery vessel having a
saucer form body and stirrup spout. Decorated in relief with a large Ai-Apec
figure having snake head feet and surrounded by snakes. Rim of chimney
spout sanded to remove chips, minor base rim flakes, otherwise intact.
Together with a red-brown pottery vessel having a seated figure on the
front edge and having a strap handle and rear spout. Some remaining black
resist geometric decoration on the body of the vessel. Heavily repaired from
approximately twenty original pieces with restoration over the breaklines.

piece reattached, chip on left loop handle.

slender rear spout. Standing male figure on the front lobe, holding a small
shield and club. Wearing a segmented crown. Figure partially restored and

salmon color, square pottery vessel having a wide bowl form spout, applied
loop handles decorated with a seated monkey eating a fruit. Brown painted
checkered pattern on both ends and small birds and geometric elements
painted on the sides. One side panel and rear end panel partially restored
and repainted, most of bowl spout restored.

head flanked with animal heads, supplicant on the wide strap handle. Minor rim roughness and a small probe hole in center of base. Together with

small deity head in the center flanked by the vegiforms on each side. Upper
body of vessel decorated with six profile bird heads. Tips of both spouts
restored and head partially restored.

a llama form bottle having a small bird at the base of the chimney spout.

stemmed fruit. A small monkey clinging to the base of the chimney spout
and two birds at the base of the stirrup. One bird missing a portion of its
body, one fruit chipped, otherwise intact.

First a fragment from a crown or headband having a masked figure wearing
a large feathered headdress. Next a partial knife and handle with deer or
llama at top, wearing a bell collar. Missing lower part of knife. Next a hollow,
disc form ear spool with low relief monkey. Finally a copper figure, this Inca
or later. Each on a separate wooden mount.

hardwood ovoid figure having simple carved details and wearing a pendant
necklace. Finally, a carved hardwood kero fragment decorated with a relief
carved warrior holding a club. All are mounted on old wood bases.

on their heads, one missing front portion of foot, one with losses on both
sides, all have weathered surfaces.

509. Four Star Maces and Two Axes (6)

The copper axes each bear crescentic blade with hafting hole at mid body
and slightly widened base tang. All of the star maces are six pointed, two
are in copper, two are in stone. All but largest mace has its own wooden
mount.

Including a thick sheet copper duck form tumi knife, depicted with a curled
tail, and incised crosshatched band on his neck. Perforation hole through
eye for suspension. Deep blue-green surface patina with ancient textile
remains incorporated within the patina. A few small chips on the ducks
breast, otherwise intact. A rare example. Together with a round openwork
disc having a central decoration depicting a standing warrior, holding hands
with two small children. Wearing a large feathered headdress. Perforated at
the top for suspension. Some losses to the outer edge.

Including a large rectangular panel fragment depicting a school of fish and
sea birds catching the fish, painted in brown and orange. Together with a

framed under lucite. Lucite has corner cracks on the smaller frame.

Together with a Nazca tie dye panel fragment having three alternating rows
of geometric diamond elements. Two large areas of loss. Finally, a Chancay
panel fragment having a brown and tan embroidered decoration on a cream
ground, depicting two stylized faces, surrounded with a stepped border,
fringed edge. Scattered losses. Each is individually framed.

Group of five terracotta animals, the largest depicting a ram with curled

Mounted on an old wooden block base. The next largest is depicted with a
large arched nose and open mouth, intact. The two medium examples have
some restoration to their legs and heads reattached. The smallest example
has curled horns, missing tail, head reattached and legs restored.

and a long dig on one side, otherwise intact.

loss to the white ring, suspension loop missing from the top center, otherwise intact. Together with a tan, glazed pottery, theater token having a low
relief depiction of a building with a capped dome and large archways, possibly a theater. Some edge chips and losses, otherwise intact.

The thin slab, rectangular panel bears a double perforation and painted eye
and a few lines from an inscription. Reverse with lightly inked hieroglyphic
drawings and remnants of adhered papyrus. Together with a scaraboid depicting Hapi, the baboon and an inscription of Toth. Finally a small bluegreen scarab, central figure and chipping on inscription side, dung beetle
side mostly there.

Two molded stucco seated Buddhas, each depicted meditating with a serene expression, heavy lidded eyes, aquiline nose, arched eyebrows, gently
smiling lips and elongated ears. Hair arranged in a bun, hands clasped over
lap. Draped in a long sleeved robe with elegant U-shaped folds and neatly
tucked under legs. Earthen deposits, encrustation, and rough hewing to
reverse. The larger example has some minor edge losses, otherwise overall
exc. cond. The smaller example is missing his legs and left shoulder. Head
reattached and possible from a different example. Individually mounted on
lucite display bases.

beneath a low relief necklace or collar line. Nose chipped, other obvious
losses.

Small, gilt bronze buddha seated with hands in his lap in meditation mudra,

pieces and with a restored base, making it stand stably.

Two solid cast bronze Chinese dragons, with serpentine tails, and open
jaws. Deposits, some green verdigris, light loss on foot of larger. Also a fine
cast bronze koi fish with bulging eyes. Custom base. Plus a Tibetan shell
with white metal sheet covering with intricate detail including some relief
conch shells. And lastly, a wooden printing block from India.
