The Cardiovascular Health Coalition of
Hamilton County is coordinated by the
Health Promotion and Worksite Wellness
Program of the Cincinnati Health
Department. This coalition is a partnership
of public, private and non-profit
organizations created to reduce the
incidence of heart attacks and strokes.
The Coalition works to increase
community awareness about heart attack
and stroke risk factors and ways
community residents can improve their
health.
Plate
The GOLD in GOLD Plate stands for...
G reat O ptions in L ower-fat D ining.
The purpose of the GOLD Plate Program
is not only to recognize area restaurants
that are making efforts to offer their
customers healthier choices, but also to
educate the consumer that it never hurts
to ask! Whether the restaurant is in the
brochure or not, you can always ask for the
healthier choices.
The information in this brochure was
self-reported by the restaurants. Those who
achieved the GOLD Plate standards are
identified by a gold star.
To assist you in your dining choices, this
brochure identifies the GOLD Plate
healthier choices that participating
restaurants offer. When choosing these
options you not only benefit your own
health but also support these restaurants’
efforts to benefit our community.
