Bike TOUR

According to your wishes and requests, we can
rent and deliver bikes when and where you
want. To your hotel, private accommodation,
marina, cruise boats, we can give you a full
service of renting, delivering and handling
bikes with equipment. We are specialized in
renting a bike for tourist sailing boats along the
coast, with a fleet of more than 200 bicycles,
with base in Split and in Hvar. On the bike you
can explore and enjoy direct contact with the
nature and visit places that are inaccessible
by car. Join us in exploring the city and its
beautiful Marjan hill on a bike tour. You can take
a tour on your own or ask for a guided tour.
South route (route length: 10 km, difficulty:
moderate, surface: mostly paved, partly
gravel)
2.) North route (route length: 11km,
difficulty: moderate/difficult, surface: mostly
paved, partly gravel)
The starting point of this route is St. Francis church,
situated at the end of the city promenade-Riva. Cycle
ahead using the main paved road along the coastline.
Then you will pass by Croatian archeological monuments
museum, and Meštrović gallery.
After about 10-15 minutes you will reach the point where
the route starts going uphill, on your right hand side. This
is a no car zone. Going uphill offers beautiful view of the
nearby islands, sea and most popular south side beach
called Kašuni. Along the route you can stop to see some of
the ancient Marjan churches. Above can be seen the cliffs
that represent the favorite climbing area for local climbers.
Once you get to the crossroads you can choose to cycle
some more to reach the top, called Telegrin, or continue
directly to the gravel part of the road. This is where you
start cycling downhill back to the city.
At the end of the route you will get to the city’s viewpoint.
There is a caffe bar where you can stop for a drink or to
take some pictures. It’s a perfect place to enjoy the city
view.
Tour finishes cycling down the narrow streets of one of the
oldest parts of the Split called Varoš.
The starting point of this route is St. Francis church
situated at the end of the city promenade. Cycle through
the city narrow streets and through one of the oldest parts
of the city called Varoš. After about 10-15 minutes cycling
you will reach a north gate of Marjan hill. This is a no car
zone. The route takes you along the coastline overlooking
the villages on the main land, Kaštela and small island of
Čiovo. On our way we pass by one of the most popular
among Marjan beaches, the St. Benedict bay, called Bene.
Bene beach is favored among locals in the summer for
swimming and in winter as a recreational area. Further
more we pass by Institute of oceanography and fisheries
situated at the SW cape of Marjan hill.
Cycle forward and then on the left hand side continue
uphill passing by a climbing area, cherished by local rock
climbers. Along the route you can stop by at old churches
like St. Jeronimus, Madonna of Bethlehem and St. Nicolas
church. After you get to the crossroads you can choose to
cycle some more to reach the top or just advance ahead
to the gravel part of the road. After the gravel part you
will get to the viewpoint that overlooks Split city. The
viewpoint has a caffe bar and it’s a perfect spot for relaxing
and refreshing. Enjoy the view and take some pretty
pictures of the city and nearby mountains. Then you can
just cycle down to the city center.

transporter is an electric two-wheeled and self-balancing means of transport. Choose one of the Segway tour services and meet Split while having
a Segway ride.

include a lunch break and/or museum/exhibition visits. Visiting the
locations such as beach Bacvice, tennis courts Firule, wine-shops, The
Cathedral, stop for meals etc. is optional.

• type of service: an exclusive summer nocturnal City Tour on Segway

available from July 1st to September 30th 2009.

SEGWAY BASIC RIDE
• type of service: the best choice for users who want to become more
familiar with Segway PT and acquire the Basic Riding Technique
without going on the City Tour. The duration is prearranged.
• tour plan: Basic Rider Training and tour of one part of the Lenuci Horseshoe
• departures: upon request, every day from 9 a.m. to 6. p.m.
• tour capacity: 2-6 pax/group, up to 100 pax/day
