Specialty Leasing Program Our Specialty Leasing Program opens the doors to a dynamic retail opportunity with low start-up costs and no long-term commitments. It’s the chance to get your trendy, unique, impulse products or services onto one of our merchandise retail units (MRU’s), kiosks or temporary in-line units. MRU’s– those small carts located in high traffic locations in our shopping centre – help move seasonal merchandise, test new markets and retail concepts. The risk is low, the commitment is short-term, and the potential returns are something to talk about! Experienced Specialty Leasing Managers work closely with National, Regional, Independent and first-time retailers to help build successful retail businesses within 20 VIC centres. They can also provide retailers with the right resources, products and displays for merchandising their temporary locations. How do I become a Specialty Leasing Retailer? A. Fill out the enclosed application form and return to the Tecumseh Mall Administration Office or send all of your information to [email protected]. You will then be contacted by the Specialty Leasing Manager to discuss what opportunities may be available for your business. A. The rates for Tecumseh Mall are: MRU (Cart) $1,500.00/month January- September October $1,600.00/month November $2,000.00/month December $2,200.00/month January-October November-December A. Yes, all retailers must secure a Comprehensive General Liability policy and must include personal injury, property damage, contractual liability and standard non-automobile coverage. The policy must carry five million ($5,000,000) for common area retail space. Q. Who provides Utilities? Q. What are the rates? Kiosk Q. Do I need Insurance? $600.00/wk $1,000.00/wk Plus Marketing Fee and HST Q. What kind of commitment do I have to make? A. Agreements are typically written for one week to one year. Phone and data are available at the cost of the retailer. Q. What hours do I need to operate? A. All retailers are required to be open and fully operational during the normal shopping centre hours as designated by the Mall Management. Q. What about presentation? A. An appealing, innovative and professional presentation is essential and will immediately tell the customer the story about your merchandise. Remember you have 3 seconds to catch their attention.
