The Summit will address the latest and most interesting facets of regenerative dentistry and Advanced Dental Implantology to date. He is the co-director of the Georgia Regents University/AAID MaxiCourse which is a 380 hour Comprehensive Dental Implant Program in Implant Dentistry. He is the director of the Advanced Dental Implant Studies group He was the past director of Emory Adventist Hospital’s 3 year residency program in Dental Implantology. He is an honored fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. Dr. Mills has a private practice focused on restorative dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia. Maurice Salama, D.M.D., completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985, where he received his BS in Biology. Dr. Salama received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he later received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn. He was awarded the George Coslet and Richard Chase Scholarships at the University of Pennsylvania during his post-doctoral studies. Dr. Salama is currently on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics. Dr. Salama has completed an ADA accredited hospital-based General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. In 1988 he had the opportunity to further broaden his clinical horizons through externships at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. His very unique background includes specialized training in Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, and Implant Dentistry. Hilt Tatum, D.D.S., Dr Tatum is widely regarded as one of the world’s most skilled dental implant surgeons and is unmatched in his surgical and conceptual talent. For over 40 years he has been most gracious in giving his time and knowledge to advancing the discipline of implant dentistry to the dental profession. The lives of many patients and dentists have been enriched as a result of Dr. Tatum’s innovative thinking, research and implant techniques that he developed. In 1955, while a student at Emory Dental School, he attended the first program on dental implants to be given in a dental school. Throughout his career Dr Tatum’s goal has been "To bring the compromised dental patient back to normal comfort, function and esthetic dental Jaime Lozada, D.D.S, is the director of the Graduate Program in Implant Dentistry and professor at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1987 and his graduate prosthodontics certificate in 1997 from the same university. Since the completion of both of his discipline certificates, Dr. Lozada has been instrumental in training residents and fellows in the latest techniques in oral implant surgery and prosthodontics at the Graduate Program and the Center for Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. Since its beginning 31 years ago, Loma Linda University Graduate Program in Implant Dentistry and Implant Dentistry Center is recognized as one of the pioneering institutions in Implant Dentistry and prides itself in aiding in the advancement of this exciting discipline of dentistry. Dr. Lozada has been involved with Implant Dentistry for over 20 years. He is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, a Fellow and current President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Joseph Kan, D.D.S, M.S., Dr. Kan completed in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He is a Professor and maintains a private practice. He is on the Editorial Board of The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and The European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Kan honors include the Best Research Award from the Academy of Osseointegration in 1997, the Judson Hinckey Award from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry in 2003 and the Robert James Implant Achievement Award in 2005. Besides lecturing nationally and internationally, he has published over 70 articles in reference journals and chapters in textbooks with emphasis on periodontal tissue management and treatment planning on implant esthetics. David Garber, D.M.D, is Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He is also on the faculty of Louisiana State University as Visiting Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Garber is a member of Team Atlanta. He lectures extensively on multi-disciplinary approaches to optimizing esthetics, periodontics and implants. He has presented throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He has practiced in Great Britain, South Africa, and the U.S. He was co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and has co-authored texts on esthetic dentistry, including Bleaching Teeth, Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Porcelain and Composite Inlays and Onlays, and Complete Dental Bleaching. James Rutkowski, D.M.D. PhD. received his B.S. in Pharmacy from Duquesne University in 1972, his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1976, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Duquesne University Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2008.Dr. Rutkowski maintains a general dental practice in Clarion, Pennsylvania that focuses on treating the apprehensive/medically-compromised patient and utilizing oral, inhalation, and intravenous sedation techniques for patient management. Donald Nunn, M.D., has the position of being the single cosmetic surgery doctor in the U.S. who has three board certifications in Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Having upwards of twenty one years of medical training, Dr. Nunn’s post graduate education started in the dentistry field. Dr. Nunn went back to his original state to finish a residency in maxillofacial and oral surgery through the University of North Carolina, after attaining his doctor of dental surgery through the Medical College of Virginia. He made the decision to extend his education at the Medical College of Virginia with an additional medical degree and two residencies. Dr. Nunn completed his initial residency in neck and head surgery (otolaryngology) emphasizing on the head and neck oncology as well as reconstruction. This extended education qualified Dr. Nunn for a much broader scope of work. Dr. Nunn’s second residency was completed at University of California, Los Angeles at the prominent Department of Plastic Surgery. This positioned him side by side to a group of the most well-known and accomplished plastic surgeons in the field, many of whom had their own private practices located in the elite area of Beverly Hills. Gregory Mackay, M.D., F.A.C.S, is a double board certified plastic surgeon with more than a decade of experience. Dr. Mackay is specialized in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for both children and as well as adults. This combination of experience and training makes Dr. Mackay one of the top surgeons working in Atlanta today. Dr. Mackay attended Vanderbilt University where he received his B.A and went on to receive his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston . After going on to complete his residency training from Emory University in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Mackay was not content to rest on his laurels. Instead he took part in an additional fellowship training program in pediatric and adult craniofacial surgery and aesthetic surgery of the facial skeleton at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Shahrokh Bagheri, D.M.D., M.D, F.A.C.S, Dr. Bagheri is the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, and serves as a clinical faculty at both the Georgia health Sciences University and Emory University, where he is involved in resident education. He has published over 40 articles and 25 book chapters. Dr. Bagheri is an internationally recognized surgeon and is the senior editor and author of two major textbooks of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his DMD from Harvard University (cum laude, class marshall), and MD form Emory University, where he also completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery and internship in General surgery. He obtained his fellowship training in Cranio-Maxillofacial Trauma and Cosmetic Surgery. His particular interests include, implant surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, trauma, and reconstructive maxillofacial surgery. He is one of few surgeons in the United States that is trained in microneurosurgical repair of peripheral trigeminal nerve injuries with extensive publications on this topic. He is also one of few oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Georgia that qualifies for fellowship in prestigious American College of Surgeons (FACS). David Gane, D.D.S., B.Sc, Dr. Gane is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with an honors degree in physiology & pharmacology and a doctorate degree in dental surgery. Dr. Gane has authored many publications and technique videos on digital radiography and has lectured nationally and internationally on digital imaging topics including programs at Tufts University, the Goldman Dental School at Boston University, Nova Southeastern University and the Medical College of Georgia. In addition, Dr. Gane has written peer reviewed papers and book chapters on digital dental imaging and is frequent contributor in Dental Economics. Dr. Gane currently serves as Vice President of Dental Imaging for Carestream Dental the exclusive maker of Kodak Dental Systems and is founder of Orbit Imaging Inc. a company that owns and operates Craniofacial imaging centers in Canada and the United States. Roman Cibirka, D.D.S. received his Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) and Master's (MS) degree in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics from the University of Michigan. Dr. Cibirka moved to the Georgia Health Sciences University in 1996 where he now serves as the Vice Provost for the newly consolidated Georgia Regents University. Dr. Cibirka is the administrative leader for institutional online and instructional technology, Academic Advising, Admissions, Area Health Education Centers, Career Services, Continuing Education, Financial Aid, Global Affairs, Library, Military & Veteran Affairs, Registrar and the Simulation Center. He is internationally recognized and has created for the institution an international leadership in advanced technologies related to instructional technology and patient care, including virtual simulations and mobile applications. Dr. Cibirka advises the Provost on Academic and Faculty Affairs matters. Dr. Cibirka is a tenured faculty member in the College of Dental Medicine, Department of Oral Rehabilitation. Dr. Cibirka has lectured nationally and internationally on the subjects of advanced technology and education, dental and orofacial implants, maxillofacial reconstructions, forensics, and biocompatibility. Pinhas Adar, MDT CDT. Master Ceramist Pinhas Adar studied in Tel Aviv, Israel and did his residency with Mr. Willi Geller in Zurich, Switzerland. He has over 35 years of experience in all phases of dental laboratory technology. He is the founder of Adar International, Inc, a laboratory, educational and research company that is dedicated to setting a new standard in esthetics. He is a past President of the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; he was on the PEC board of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as program co-chair for 2011, an active member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the International Oral Design group as well as numerous other organizations as well as Adjunct Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is also a center for Oral Design International. He is on the advisory board of the Amara Institute.
