Monday, May 8—USA
Motor coach from Cheyenne
to Denver. Depart Denver for
Rome.
Rome
Tuesday, May 9—Rome
Arrive at Leonardo da Vinci
Airport at Fiumicino. Find
motor coach and head to
Mass a the Basilica of St.
Paul Outside the Walls.
Check-in at hotel. Lunch on
own and afternoon free to shop for religious articles to have
blessed at the Wednesday papal audience. Dinner at local
restaurant.
Wednesday, May 10—Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for St.
Peter’s Square to attend the papal
audience with Pope Francis. Lunch on
own. Afternoon guided tour of Ancient
Rome, including the Colosseum, the
Roman Forum and the Basilica of St.
Peter in Chains follows. Dinner at Ristorante Cecilia
Metella.
Thursday, May 11—Rome
Breakfast at hotel.
Departure for St. Peter’s
Basilica for Mass, followed
by a Scavi tour beneath the
basilica. Lunch on own.
Afternoon departure for guided tour of the Spanish Steps,
Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and Pantheon. Dinner at
Risorante Antica Biblioteca della Valle.
Friday, May 12—Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for
guided tour of the Vatican
Museum/Sistine Chapel and
St. Peter’s Basilica. Lunch on own. Afternoon departure guided tour of the
Basilicas of St. John Lateran and St.
Mary Major, where we will also have
Mass. Dinner at local restaurant.
Saturday, May 13—Rome/Orvieto/Assisi
Wednesday, May 17—Siena/Padua/Venice
Sunday, May 14—Assisi
Thursday, May 18—Venice
Breakfast at hotel and check-out.
Departure for Orvieto. Mass at
the Duomo, followed by lunch at
Ristorante Maurizio. Free time in
the afternoon before continuing
on to Assisi. Check-in at hotel.
Dinner at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for guided
tour of the main city sites, including Basilicas
of St. Francis and St. Clare. Lunch on own.
Afternoon departure via private vans for a
guided tour of the Church of San Damiano
and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels,
where you can see the Porziuncola, followed
by Mass. Dinner at hotel.
Monday, May 15—Assisi/San Gimignano/ Siena
Breakfast at hotel and checkout. Mass at the Basilica of St.
Francis before departing.
Departure for San Gimignano
to enjoy this beautiful medieval
city of towers. Entertaining
wine-tasting and light lunch
follow at a local family farm.
Afternoon departure for Siena.
Check-in at hotel. Afternoon guided tour of the Basilica of
San Domenico, which houses the relics of St. Catherine and
the main city sites to include the Piazza del Campo, the
Cathedral, and the House of St. Catherine. Dinner at
Ristorante Sotto Le Logge del Papa.
Tuesday, May 16—Siena/Florence/Seinna
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Mass at the
Basilica of St. Francis where you can also see the Eucharistic
Miracle. Departure for Florence for a guided tour of the
Duomo, Baptistery, the Fine Arts Gallery to see
Michelangelo's statue of
David, and other city sites.
Lunch on own and free time
in the afternoon. Dinner at
Ristorante Le Botteghe di
Donatello in Florence
before returning to Siena.
Breakfast at hotel and check-out.
Departure for Padua. Mass at the
Shrine of St. Anthony, followed by
a brief tour. Lunch on own.
Departure for Venice and check-in
at hotel. Rest of afternoon free. Dinner at Ristorante
Gianni.
Breakfast at hotel and
departure for St. Mark’s
Basilica, followed by a guided
tour of the city. Lunch on own
and afternoon free. Dinner at
Ristorante San Trovaso.
Friday, May 19—Venice/Pavia/Milan
Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Departure
for Pavia. Mass at the Church of S. Pietro in
Ciel D’Oro which houses the tomb of St.
Augustine. Continue to Milan and lunch on
own en route. Check-in at hotel. Rest of
afternoon free. Dinner at Ristorante Il
Gambero Rosso.
Saturday, May 20—Milan
Breakfast at hotel.
Departure for Mass at
the magnificent Gothic
Duomo, followed by a
guided tour to include the
Basilica of St. Ambrose,
the Victor Emmanuel Gallery and the Sforzesco
Castle. Farewell dinner at Ristorante Grigliamania.
Sunday, May 21—Milan
USA
Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Departure for Malpensa
International Airport and Arrivederci Italia!!
