Our schedule is completely flexible to meet
your needs. We have both indoor and outdoor
programs available and coaches arrive early and
leave late at the venue of your choice.
HOCKEY BASICS 14 & UNDER
7 but less than 15

This class introduces the skater to ice hockey and teaches
basic safety and skating skills. Forward and backward
skating, balance, and edges are covered. Protective
equipment is recommended, but not provided. Includes
skate rental, four public sessions and two guest passes
(A $67.50 value). Student will need to check in with
CLASS CONFIRMATION at the first class.
ICE SKATING FOR YOUTH
6 but less than 15
Res: $68 Nonres: $75
Ice Skating class will teach you how to skate, be safe
and enjoy this great pastime. Wear warm, flexible
clothing and bring your mittens. Added value includes
four public session passes, two guest passes and skate
rental for child (an $67.50 value). Student will need to
check in with CLASS CONFIRMATION at the first class.
The birthday boy or girl will also receive a Tiny
Pros soccer ball and T-shirt.
The birthday package can accommodate up to
20 guests (depending on age) and is 90 minutes
long. One or two Tiny Pros Coaches will be
assigned to your party and all equipment such
as soccer balls and goals will be provided.

Classes indulge each child’s natural curiosity
and playfulness while introducing them to the
beautiful game of soccer. Activities are geared
toward a toddler’s unique way of learning.

SOCCER-MANHATTAN BEACH
DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE

Play soccer with friends every Saturday. Develop your
game during our 15 minute skills session and then
play a game. Our qualified coaches will facilitate and
provide coaching during the game. This approach gives
young players the green light to experiment, be creative
and improve while enjoying the game. Week 1 players
will be assessed and placed on a balanced team.

THE SCOOP LACROSSE PROGRAM
KIDS KARATE

The SCOOP Program by SBLC is an introductory series
tailored to our beginner boys and girls between the
ages of 5 to 14. Curriculum will have an emphasis
on building a fundamental foundation necessary to
succeed in the sport of lacrosse. Players will be put
through a variety of drills and games focusing on
passing, catching, shooting and dodging. The SCOOP
Program will be non-contact (lacrosse sticks only with
cleats). All players must have their own lacrosse sticks.

Students learn all the basic stances, punches, blocks
and kicks that make up Japanese Shotokan Karate.
Timing and coordination through Kihon (basics)
exercises are also stressed. Self-defense techniques
are perfected to help the students outside the dojo
hall. Students are introduced to 1-step and 3-step
non-contact sparring under the instructor’s strict and
watchful eye. Japanese Martial Art history, traditions,
manners and culture are also taught.

THE BOOST LACROSSE PROGRAM

The BOOST Lacrosse Program by SBLC is an improvement
series that runs for our beginner, intermediate and
advanced players. This class is designed to provide
boys and girls with a fun and competitive environment
to build on their personal skills as well as various team
concepts. All players are required to provide their own
lacrosse sticks and protective equipment.

Do you love Minecraft? Join this exciting class where kids
will design a Minecraft using Legos, create their own crazy
Minecraft characters out of clay and putty, then students
will utilize provided iPods to create their own Minecraft
movie and become the voices for all the characters.
Create monsters, creepers or your own personal hero
to tackle the incredible environment that you create. All
student films will be available to view and download.

BEGINNING TABLE TENNIS FOR KIDS
STAR WARS: CLAYMATION GALAXY

Learn to play table tennis from a champion! Have fun
learning and perfecting your forehand, backhand and
push and still get a good sweat going. By the end of
the class, students will have the basic skills to play
recreational or competitive table tennis. Students
must bring their own paddle and balls.

Are you fascinated by those crazy characters in Star
Wars? In this creative class, students will get to design
and build their own unique aliens, Jedi Knights, Sith
lords, or anything their imagination can think of. Once
the characters are complete, students will utilize iPods
to bring their masterpieces to life using their art of
stop-motion-animation. After the filming is complete,
they will choose their music and supply the voice-over.
All projects will be available to view and download.

COOKING CLASS

This is our signature program. Your child will learn how
to make healthy snacks, breakfast, lunches (featuring
Bentology eating by design Lunch Boxes), and dinners
for him/herself. This is a great core program for any
child who is looking to help out with a family meal or

MANHATTAN BEACH TEEN CENTER
School Year Program
The Teen Center School Year Program is a drop in, noncustodial program, open to all
6th, 7th and 8th graders living in Manhattan Beach, attending a Manhattan Beach
school or whose parents work in Manhattan Beach. The Teen Center provides plenty
of indoor and outdoor space to play and exercise and has a variety of exciting
and engaging activities available each day. Daily options may include basketball,
volleyball, rock climbing wall, ping pong, pool, foosball, Dance Dance Revolution, Xbox
and Nintendo Wii, movies and much more! Closed on school holidays. Occasional
Teen Center special activities may require additional fee from participant. Check
