A team time trial (TTT) is a race against the
clock. A team has 9 riders who each employ
the tactic of ‘drafting’, riding in the slipstream
behind each other in a paceline. Each rider
takes a turn at the front, known as ‘taking
the pull’ while team mates ‘sit in’ behind.
After their turn, the lead rider will swing over,
allowing the next rider to take the lead, while
the leader goes to the back of the team.
