LAURO CHARTRAND
BIO
For nearly twenty years, producer Lauro Chartrand has immersed himself in the world of film
and television production. As partner in Dream Chaser Productions, Inc., he currently has
several films in development, including Chemical Evil, conceived, written, and soon to be
directed by Lauro.
Lauro began his career in the entertainment industry as a stunt performer on the long- running
series MacGyver. After finding success as a stunt performer, he branched out into fight and
stunt coordinating and even tried a little acting. More recently, Lauro developed a passion for
directing; getting his first taste of it on the CBS hit series Walker, Texas Ranger. He has since
directed splinter unit on the made for television movie Rapid Fire for USA network, as well
as the short film version of Chemical Evil.
Lauro's first duty as producer was on the short film, Treading Water, starring Sinbad, William
Katt and Nia Peeples. It was there that he met future partner in Dream Chaser Productions,
Jennifer Esquivel. Lauro recently completed the feature length script for Chemical Evil while
finishing up post on the short film version. He also has several features and television
projects in development at Dream Chaser.
Dream Chaser Productions, Inc. is based out of Vancouver, B.C. and Los Angeles, CA.

producing and directing a feature documentary based on superstar Michael Jackson's fans.
On the television side, Dream Chaser has a handful of series ideas in development for both
