About The District



The district encompasses 103 square miles and serves nearly 1200 students.
The Osawatomie School District’s mission is develop students who achieve their full potential as lifelong learners.
District patrons utilize the O-Zone, an adult education fitness center that offers a variety of wellness
programs.
Student Academics











Swenson Early Childhood Center provides preschool programs for 3 and 4 year olds and All Day
Kindergarten.
Osawatomie High School has implemented a 1:1 laptop initiative.
Fine Arts Programs include Concert Band, Jazz Band, Choir, Singers, and Drama.
All buildings are linked with fiber optics and utilize Smart Technology.
61% of students pursue post-secondary education
Implemented research-based elementary math and reading programs
Offer more than 30 hours of dual credit courses with FSCC and Neosho County
Offer Alternative Education programs
Offer Vocational Certification programs in Welding, HVAC and CNA
Provide swimming lessons to all elementary students as part of physical education class
Provide free breakfast to all elementary students

Member of the Pioneer League and KSHSAA
Offer a variety of competitive athletics for students including: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country,
