The ever changing seasons open new vistas
throughout the year. Early days of spring bring
sounds of melting rivulets of snow, and forest floors
are covered with delicate wildflowers. Days soon
turn long sliding into Summer with its warm sun, a
canopy of green, and cool quiet nights. Come Fall,
the days turn crisp with the trees all aflame in red
and gold. Winter is the quiet season, shhh! White,
frozen and jewel like...the only sound is skis gliding
across the pristine snow.

Our distinctive North Shore Restaurant &
Gift Shop serves “superior” breakfasts, lunches
and dinners throughout the year. Overlooking
Lake Superior, the restaurant features a north
woods décor, homemade soups, seasonal salads,
pastas, meats, fish & vegetarian options. Wine
and beer available. Open seven days a week.
Nestled in the forest surrounding Cascade
River State Park is Cascade Lodge, a charming
1930’s lodge featured in Country Inns & America’s
Wonderful Little Hotels and Inns. The proximity to
the State Park and direct access to the Superior Hiking Trail makes Cascade Lodge unique.

The Main Lodge has a cozy stone fireplace
and two large living rooms overlooking the lake.
The lodge also serves as a focal point for the
grounds and provides comfortable accommodations.
An assortment of beautiful log cabins and frame cabins, some with fireplaces, whirlpools, kitchenettes
and decks, offer a variety of conveniences to meet
every taste. The Caribou Hideaway House is a secluded vacation home that can provide accommodations for groups large and small.
