THE BIG APPLE
DAY ONE: Depart Michigan this morning and enjoy the scenery en-route to Carlisle in central Pennsylvania and the location of the hotel
for tonight.
DAY TWO: Deluxe continental breakfast included. Depart Carlisle to near-by Hershey, PA, home of the Hershey’s Chocolate World, the
official visitor’s center of Hershey Foods Corporation. Explore the art of chocolate making on the simulated factory tour ride that concludes
with delicious samples! Then experience the “Everything Hershey’s” gift shop. Mid-afternoon arrival in the “Big Apple,” New York City.
Unpack and enjoy the great location of our Times Square Hotel on Manhattan for the next three nights. Tonight’s (included) Bateaux
Dinner Cruise combines a unique package of dining, dancing, entertainment and sightseeing. Your dinner, served tableside, offers a
choice of entrée as you enjoy the panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty and the breath-taking skyline of New York City.
DAY THREE: Today will be devoted to an in-depth tour of New York City lead by a local, professional step-on guide. Sightseeing
highlights include Times Square, garment district, Little Italy, Chinatown, Wall Street, Battery Park, South Street Seaport, Lincoln Center,
Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Central Park and the new Freedom Tower Site. Lunch (not included) and free time will be at Grand
Central Terminal. First opened in 1913, as the largest train station in the world, the terminal houses the famed constellation sky ceiling
(125 feet high) with a field of 2,500 stars, ten major constellations and zodiac signs. This evening’s special dinner (included) will be at the
lively Ellen's Stardust Diner. There will be food, music, videos and their world famous singing wait staff!
DAY FOUR: The morning’s first New York City attraction will be the Empire State Building Experience. The Empire State Building is
more than just a view; it's an immersive experience inside a world famous landmark. In addition to the observation decks, your visit
includes the newly restored lobby with its stunning art deco ceiling murals, the historical "Dare to Dream" Exhibit, the new Sustainability
Exhibit and an interactive audio device. Following this, is the Radio City Stage Door Tour. Go behind the scenes of the "Showplace of the
Nation". This tour offers an insider's look at the legendary Radio City Music Hall. On this guided tour, discover art deco masterpieces, learn
the secrets of the Great Stage, meet a "Rockette", plus much more! Next, visit the iconic St. Patrick's Cathedral. Since 1879, Saint
Patrick's has provided the faithful of New York, and the world, a place to worship amidst the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The balance
of the afternoon and this evening will allow some "down time" from the tour to do as you please. Perhaps take in a Broadway play of your
choice. Most of the theaters are just a short cab ride away or within walking distance from your hotel.
DAY FIVE: No visit to the NYC area is complete without a trip to the world's most famous landmarks - The Statue of Liberty and Ellis
Island. You will take the morning ferry from battery park and visit the Statue of Liberty National Monument. After free time there,
continue by ferry on New York Harbor to Ellis Island featuring the "Wall of Honor". Depart New York and travel to the nearby Pocono
Mountain Region of Eastern Pennsylvania for our last night's stay at a historic inn. Dinner (included) tonight at the property.
DAY SIX: Breakfast (included). Journey back to Michigan today reflecting on what a great city New York is, and always will be.
