Compact substation in aluminum cabin ProStrong PTPA type
Destination
The ProStrong PTPA type , is an equipment designed for consumers and public
lightening supplying , direct from the industrial or public electrical energy networks. It
is suitable both for end user consumer (radial type) or for networking connection.
Elemente Componente
■ The component elements are as follows :
□ The enclosure
□ consists of:
▫ OLTPAN P 60 walls , (Al/poliuretan/Al) profilated, 60mm
thicknes painted with epoxipoliestheric paints;
▫ chasis constructed from zync coated sheet steel profiles ;
▫ painted aluminum thermal insulated acces doors and
ventilations ;
▫ dismantable roof OLTPAN P 60 , Al /spuma poliuretan/Al)
made profilat , 60mm thicknes painted with
epoxipoliestheric paints;
□ the acces to apparatus :
▫ external;
▫ internal;
□ the internal architecture consists of:
▫
Medium voltage compartment , contains MV cells in
different combinations acording to diagram;
▫
Transformer compartment , contains MV/LV
transformers ( 1 or 2 acording to diagram)
▫
Low voltage compartment , contains low voltage
distribution board , reactive power compensation unit ,
metering board.
▫
Public lightening patchboard (at request) external unit
added.
□ The bassement is concrete made , preformed , insulated to prevent
accidental oil loses. Is fitted with special pipes access systems for cables
entries and for outgoings.
Medium voltage compartment
■ the medium voltage compartment is fitted with :
□ Modular cells different types in different combinations acording to diagram.
▫ line cells fitted with :
▫ capsulated charge disconnector SF6 ;
▫ vacuum or SF6 protection breaker;
▫ transformer cells fitted with :
▫ capsulated charge disconnector SF6 ;
▫ vacuum or SF6 protection breaker;
▫ metering cells ;
▫ coupling cells ;
■ At request PTPA can be fitted with AAR automation and remote control
Transformer compartment
■ Compartimentul transformator cuprinde :
□ The power transformer ( 1/2 pcs. Acording configuration) in variants :
▫ canned
▫ tight
□ The leakage oil vat from the transformer can collect the whole quantity and
is provided with a gravel layer in order to avoid a fire or its extend;
■
The access into the transformer compartment is not possible , an electrical
interlocking system being in charge.

Low voltage compartment
■ Low voltage compartment consists of :
□ LV distribution board in 2 construction variants :
□ open panel for internal acces PTPA ;
□ closed board for external acces PTPA;
□ Electrical equipment :
□ withdrawable circuit breaker on input ;
□ fuse switch disconnectors in order to protect :
▫ the outgoings to consumers ;
▫ public lightening outgoings in 2 variants :
▫ through LV acces door;
▫ with sepparately subcompartment acces :
□ auxiliary circuits :
▫ inernal lightening and supply 220 Vac ;
▫ electrical interblocking;
▫ temperature meter and control;
□ energy metering block (at request) ;
□ reactive power factor compensation block ( at request) ;

Mounting and connection
■ The mounting is earth made , on cement preformed basement. The basement is
placed on the uncovered earth , on minimum 750 mm depth , provided with a sized
gravel layer <25 mm granulated , and a 250 mm sand layer smaller then 5 mm.
■ The cables acces is underground through acces holes from basement ;
■ The cables acces :
□ by special insulated terminals into the cell lugs ;
□ in terminal clamps for consumer outgoings and lightening circuits ;
