inlet valves Deltrol CONTROLS ISO 9001:2008 Registered www.deltrol–controls.com Inlet Valves Product Description Deltrol Controls Water Inlet Valves are pilot–operated valves designed for controlling the flow of water within a pressure range of 5–145 psi. The most common applications are beverage equipment, vending equipment, and ice machines. Deltrol Controls offers 4 types of Water Inlet Valves, each providing unique features for your applications. These valves are briefly described in this brochure, and complete product information can be obtained by visiting our website at www.deltrol–controls.com. Principle of Operation Pilot–operated valves rely on pressure differentials on the internal valve components to open and close the valve. A minimum inlet port pressure of 5 psi is required to close the valve. It is important to avoid any counter pressures on the outlet port, as this could interfere with proper operation of the valve. There is a diaphragm inside the valve that controls the flow of water through the valve. When the solenoid coil is energized, the plunger opens a small pilot hole in the diaphragm, causing a pressure differential that opens the relatively large valve seat and allows water to flow through the valve. When the coil is de–energized, the plunger closes the small pilot hole in the diaphragm, causing a pressure differential that closes the valve seat and stops water flow through the valve. Features • UL and NSF certification on most models • Low power consumption • Materials selected for high resistance to chloramine attack • Standard coil termination: 0.25” X 0.03” male quick connect terminals • Multiple flow washer options available for plastic body valves • Coils and brackets can be rotated to suit specific applications • Single inlet / dual outlet version available on DSVP42 • Capable of water temperatures up to 90°C DSVP40–R DSVP40–S DSVP42–S DSV43(N)* General Description Single outlet pilot operated solenoid valve with 3/4 –11.5 GHT plastic thread inlet port fitting and barb outlet. Single outlet pilot operated solenoid valve with 3/4 – 14 BSPP plastic thread inlet port fitting and barb outlet. Dual outlet pilot operated solenoid valve with 3/4 –11.5 GHT plastic thread inlet port fitting and barb outlet ports Single outlet pilot operated solenoid valve with tin plated brass body. Inlet and outlet ports are both 1/8–27 NPT taps.
